Gillman Honda San Antonio Service

I went in to have my oil changed and received great service from Chris. He let me know the wait that day was about 2 to 3 hours so if I wanted to leave he would be in touch when my car was ready. He also called me to give me some advice on services he recommended. He called me when my car was ready, I checked out then left. The service was seamless. I have to say for the first time in a while Chris did everything he said and I am grateful. Thanks you Chris!!

I was really stressed when the AC went out in my Honda Civic, so I contacted Gillman Honda to figure out the next steps. From the start, the process was seamless. Samantha, my service advisor, made everything incredibly easy and stress-free. I dropped my car off in the morning, the issue was resolved the very same day, and they took care of all the warranty paperwork for me. What truly stood out was how genuinely she seemed to care—something that feels rare these days. I’ll definitely be returning to Gillman Honda for future service!

I was honestly a little nervous about coming back to Gillman for service because of a past experience I had with another service rep. But Jay really changed that for me and made this experience way better than before. He was super helpful, easy to work with, and had great customer service. Really appreciate all his help and can’t thank him enough for making this visit a much better one.

I put my vehicle in on a Wednesday at 8am. It was for an AC issue (turned out to be an expansion valve replacement) and a rear brake job. I was told on Wednesday afternoon that the job wouldn’t be done on that day but should be done by noon on Thursday. I called at 3 pm Thursday about pick up and was told their AC machine was down. I can understand stuff breaks but when I asked if the brakes were done and the associate said no. Two full business days and nothing is complete. What did they do on Wednesday???? The jobs weren't done until Friday afternoon. If I knew this before hand, I would’ve gone with a different shop. Three business days to complete 5 hours of work is poor. Especially for a dealership. No call from the manager apologizing and I had to reach out to the associate multiple times to even get updates. They did complete the work and the AC is fixed but if you need it back in a reasonable time, choose someone else.

Sadly, after many years of loyalty to and several vehicle purchases from Gillman Honda, the Imes family will be taking our future business elsewhere. I showed up to have a recall serviced and was informed the front camera on my odyssey needed replacing. After reviewing the quote, and discovering that gillman wanted to charge me 450-500 dollars more for the part than it costs online and twice as much on the labor as I could have it done elsewhere, as a compromise, I suggested I buy my own part and bring it in to have installed (which wouldn’t have been a problem when Dan was still there), but I was refused this option for no reason I can discern other than gillman wanting to force their customers to pay their inflated prices on both the parts and the labor. To his credit, the service rep I was working spoke with his superiors and attempted to accommodate me with no success. With that said, you also get different answers from different service reps depending on who you talk to because others had told me that bringing in my own part and getting it installed wouldn’t be a problem. In summary, the level of service at gillman is no where near what it used to be, and you lost a decades long loyal gillman honda family over it
