Carl Mc Quillen Racing Engines

I had Drakes Machine Inc in Rochester NY build my 428CJ engine and he told me to take my engine to Carl Mc Quillen Racing Engines have it dyno when completed. After taking it there and many problems at Carl's Mc Quillen Racing Engines shop, Carl the owner charged me money for the repairs and it was Drakes fault in the first place. Carl called and told me the engine was done After picking it up I noticed the Horse power was 100hp low so I took it to another shop that day and come to find out the engine blow up on Carl's dyno and destroyed it and he gave it back to me like that not telling me it was blown. He is a Liar and a crook like Drakes... Stay clear from both shops. These were zero star shops

Not interested in helping me. I am sure big spenders are treated better. I did call ahead and tried to be respectful of the man's time. BTW, don't make the mistake of entering from the parking lot door, use the street door.

I have used this company for years and always have received excellent service and quality work. The turn around time is reasonable and the prices are fair. If your in the gas or diesel market, Carl and his crew are top notch in my opinion. Keep up the good work!!

I brought my engine to carls because I thought I could trust him, after ruining 2 of my big blocks and expecting me to have eat both, I will never go back to McQuillan and he’s done good machine work for me before so all I can say is I’m highly disappointed with him and his business. Communication is horrible!!! My motor was here for almost 3 years and I didn’t receive a single phone call from him for an update or what parts were being used.

Always talk to Carl about my setups and he happily answers all he can. The quality of work has been immaculate, and I've never had to take anything back to get it re-done. Prices are more than fair for the knowledge and equipment at your disposal when you visit this engine machine shop. An in house engine Dyno is a wonderful way to break in a new engine, get power numbers, or tune it after an upgrade. Not to mention he has a whole room of parts for when youve broken something, or just need that next piece. If they don't have it they can get it, no problem.
