About 3 years ago I travelled to Rochester from Texas to visit some family and my transmission went while up in NY. Smitty’s got my vehicle fixed within a week and I was able to leave NY on time. Fast forward to 3 years later and I still drive that vehicle without issue. I appreciate this team of techs, especially for fixing my car in a timely manner. This a great no nonsense business!

Very honest, reasonable mechanics. They answered every question I had in full detail, and had my car up and running; better than before in a reasonable amount of time. Reasonable prices, and very truthful mechanics. 10/10 would definitely recommend. Great customer service!

BEWARE the grandson took over for the grandfather and father, they use to run a good business in the community for many years. The elders built up a client base with classic car owners and loyal customers for transmissions and common repairs. My dad is in his 90's, he use to do custom paint work for the grandfather that started in body and paint. The grandson has a bad rep with some other shops in the community and some customers. From my experience, i wont even say what happened on multiple occurrences, it was that bad. What you can do is go to the dmv and get a new york state complaint form for mechanics and dealers. They will send a state inspector to make sure your vehicle is repaired properly or you get a refund. As far as his spoiled brat grandson, know it all, argumentative, attitude problem personality, you'll just have to deal with it. If he shows his true colors. Or better yet go to a reputable shop that deserves your business.

Dropped my car off recently thinking there was a transmission issue. I was told it might be a few days which is totally understandable. Ended up not being a transmission issue and they caught what the issue actually was. Fixed it in a day. Incredible service and extremely fair pricing. Definitely recommend taking your car here!

Kerry and his crew are wonderful mechanics. Trustworthy, honest and provide excellent customer service. My car runs like its brand new with the rebuilt transmission done at Smitty’s. They are 10+ in my book! Highly recommend.
