Greulich's Automotive Repair

In November of 2025, Greulich's in Cave Creek, AZ performed the following repairs on our 2017 BMW X5: Oil Pan gasket and Oil Filter housing to correct an oil leak. After repairs were performed we continued to experience significant oil leaks and took the vehicle back to them for additional repairs. Each time we took the vehicle back they would tell us the leak was coming from another location. We finally gave up and took the vehicle to BMW for their analysis and repairs. (video of their diagnostics attached). BMW found out both the oil pan gasket and the oil filter housing were installed incorrectly or not completely - missing parts. Once we had BMW repair the issues we notified Greulich's in an attempt to be reimbursed for the $3,500 repair bill for a repair that was not performed correctly. They would not work with us and told us we should have brought the vehicle back for the warranty repair. Why would we bring it back, AGAIN, when you had a couple (at least) chances to do the work the right way. Needless to say, we will never go back to this repair shop. Update, I emailed Sun auto (parent company) and received a response, which sounded promising. The response stated she notified additional managers and I would be contacted, which of course has not occurred. Shocking! We paid ~$3,500+ for very poor workmanship and had to have the correct work performed by a dealer.

I am in awe of the excellent repair service that I received at Greulich's Auto Repair in Cave Creek (shop #1263). My Honda CRV was completely dead upon arrival at their shop. The techs at this location revived my car...and brought it back to life! I had extensive repair work done on my car and the total cost was amazing! The store manager Jonathan and the team members Brandon, Jason, Mike, Dominic, and Alex worked together to find the solution(s) regarding fixing my car. If you want a reliable and dedicated auto service with team members that can repair your car quickly with fair prices...then Greulich's in Cave Creek, AZ is the place for you! P.S. Their waiting area is immaculate with hot Keurig coffee and clean restroom facilities ready for you!

I have used Greulicks for several years. Always had a very good relationship with the Tech/Mechanic that did my services. It would appear that there has been a major turnover of people working there now, since the new company bought them out. My recent visit for an oil change left a sour taste in my mouth. I requested that my tires be rotated. Was told that it's part of the service. Fine. Prior to paying for my services I was presented with close to $700 in Mazda recommended work for the 60,000 miles on my vehicle. I chose to only have the oil change. Upon arriving home, I discovered that my tires were not rotated. I called Greulicks and was told that the Tech decided that my tires did not need rotating. None of this was communicated to me upon paying for the service, despite me being told that it WAS part of the service. I have NEVER encountered this issue at Greulicks before. INTEGRITY and TRUST is important to me. This is not how you keep customers........

I went to multiple car service places and got a ridiculous quote for a service and parts, plus they were charging me over $700 for something I didn’t need. As someone who takes the car for maintenance every year I knew something was off. Chat Gpt asked me to contact this shop and they gave me a reasonable quote plus added coupons for savings without pushing for services k didn’t need. They got q customer for life! Thank you!!!

I’ve been a loyal Greulich’s customer for about five years. They’ve helped me out with emergency repairs in the past, and I always trusted their recommendations, even when the service intervals didn’t align with manufacturer’s guidance. Unfortunately, my recent visits have felt very different. Since the acquisition by Sun Auto Tire & Service, the upselling has noticeably increased and my trust has gone down. It just doesn’t feel like the same Greulich’s I’ve supported over the years. I hope things improve, but this hasn’t been the experience I’ve come to expect.
