Tommy at 8-Velocity is the real deal! As a small independent shop owner, he always makes time in his schedule when I need work done ASAP, even squeezing me in on short notice. He's incredibly trustworthy, honest diagnoses, no pushing extra jobs I don't need, and fair pricing with zero surprises. The service is outstanding: detailed, professional, and done right the first time. My cars always come back better than expected, and I never feel like just another customer. If you're tired of big dealership prices and shady tactics, go see Tommy, he's been taking care of my vehicles (and many friends') for years. Highly recommend him and his shop.

I would not recommend taking a newer car to this shop. I brought my 2017 Mazda3 in for a misfiring issue. The mechanic diagnosed it as needing a new timing chain and I approved the work. The car sat for months. When I finally got it back (roughly 3 months later), it drove rougher than before and now had a starting problems due to mistiming. I brought it back, but he couldn’t fix it. He did refund the timing chain labor, but the worst part came next: he told me the car was safe to drive. On the way home the engine blew up from bad timing. This was a very poor diagnosis and repair job. From what I’ve heard, he often takes on work he isn’t equipped to handle. The only reason I chose him was because he’s a family-connected mechanic who claimed he works on this engine all the time.
