A horrible experience. Although highly recommended, Chuck was an inconsiderate jerk from the start. He "rebuilt" my LS3, promising to return ALL used parts as well as provide a detailed blueprint of the work and dimensions of all machined surfaces. I never got the blueprint, he kept a lot of internal parts claiming they were "junk". I see he regularly sells used parts to customers! What does that tell you about Chuck? He argued with me on work I wanted done, then lost the new, critical parts I provided to him. I consider him deceptive, dishonest and too old/stubborn to be working with human beings. There are many better local shops that don't lie or steal from you. I had one finish building my engine properly and it now runs great.

Nice work, but pricey. I brought in 2 LS cylinder heads with the valves still in them just to have the bottom end checked for flatness and a layer shaved off to get it completely flat again. They quoted me $375 initially, which is around what I expected, but after the work was said and done I was charged $480. A lot of money for a quick job on a cylinder head that all machine shops are familiar with. Again, without having them tear down anything and just dropping off two heads its half a grand just to fix your overheating oopsie. It wasn't even that out of spec either, they said the warpage was very minimal. I don't know, I guess you can price what you want when you're the only auto machine shop in the Woodinville, Kirkland, Redmond, Bellevue, Duvall, Bothell area. Wouldn't recommend this place to teenagers and young adults unless you maybe need work done on a small 4 cylinder motor.

I’ve been working with Chuck on rebuilding a ls7. He’s been great along the way and very communicative throughout the process. He has my short block assembled and working on my valve seats now in my aftermarket heads. This is one of the few places I’d recommend in the area for machine work.

I needed to have a used replacement camshaft for my car inspected at the last minute. I called and spoke to Chuck the owner. He said he could have it done the same day. I brought it down and one his techs named Blake handled it. I'm very particular about my car so I asked if he would check his measurements against factory service manual spec and write down the measurements found. He pleasantly agreed to do it. The inspection took less than an hour and he even polished it. When I arrived to pick it up, Blake went over his findings with me. I could tell care and good attention to detail went into the job. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, personable, and professional. Great experience. I'll definitely be using them again in the future.
