All Wheel Drive Auto

I took my 2007 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport to All Wheel Drive Auto for a 60K service. From the beginning, they were very easy to work with, very responsive with quotes via text, and able to explain the details of the work needed in polite and respectful manner. They discovered a lot of issues with my car and provided detailed photographs and quotes for repairs. I really appreciate the transparency and clear communication throughout the process. The occasional incorrect quote was quickly corrected when I pointed it out. As a Subaru shop, there was no delay with ordering any required Subaru parts. They also provided me with a car to use for the time that my car would be in the shop. I 100% trust their expertise and I especially appreciate that I was kept informed at every step of the way. If you have a Subaru, I highly recommend using these folks. I will not hesitate to return. My only suggestion is one I saw in another review - a free car wash and getting to pick up a nice shiny car would have been nice after having spent so much money at their business.

Honestly the best service I've ever had. They have a modern booking and inspection platform to make it easy to communicate details about your car, costs, and next steps. But that's not the best part. Where they really shine is how well they take care of you. My experience with Chandler was very easy. So easy to communicate with, friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating! Also, it's just so much more personable working with them as a local shop as opposed to the Subaru dealerships. And they have a much better loaner car program. Thanks AWD Bothell!

I cannot recommend this shop enough. If you drive a subaru you shouldn’t be taking it anywhere else. I DIY most of my stuff, but when i need experienced help diagnosing or doing other things i call AWD up without hesitation. Their prices are more than fair and their knowledge about subarus is next level. They do an outstanding job with communication as well, which i really appreciate.

i love all wheel drive auto here in bothell!! i brought my subaru to them for the first time after purchasing it from a previous owner, and they have been SO helpful in helping me tackle all the problems it came with. ian has been especially kind and honest with me in addressing which problems have been needed to be fixed before others, which has been so important to me as a woman and someone who doesn't have any experience with cars! i have had some really negative experiences at most other shops and everybody here at AWD auto has just been awesome. they beat everybody else in terms of affordability, customer service, and care. 💛

This review is specifically for the Bothell location only. I made this appointment ahead of time and was told the alignment should take about 1.5 to 2 hours according to Curtis, including the road test. What I got instead at the Bothell shop was a waste of time, a vague non-diagnosis, and a strong reason not to return there for alignment work. Nothing about this place gave the impression of a modern, well-equipped operation focused on precision. It had the worst kind of Jiffylubish vibe. The technical side was even worse. They claimed the vehicle “cannot be aligned,” yet did not provide the most basic thing an alignment customer should get: actual alignment measurements. No before numbers, no after numbers, no printout showing what was out, nothing. For an alignment visit, that is unprofessional. Instead of data, the paperwork was full of guesswork. Phrases like “possibly the cradle has moved” and “ball joints are either different, or one is not seated completely” are not proper findings. That is speculation. They also wrote that one control arm was “slightly bent/misshapen,” then jumped to recommending both control arms and sway bar links. That is a big recommendation with weak support. Their own inspection report also looked sloppy and incomplete. Important quality-control sections were left blank, including whether the original concern was resolved, whether new concerns were found on the final test drive, and whether any noises remained. That is not how a competent shop closes out a suspension and alignment visit. To make it worse, after not being able to do the alignment, the guy at the front casually dropped the price to $75 from the original roughly $160 quote almost immediately. That did not feel professional. It felt like they already knew the visit had gone badly and just wanted to charge something and move on. I do not recommend the Bothell location for a quality alignment. If you want real alignment work with modern equipment, actual measurements, and a technician who can diagnose instead of guess, look elsewhere.
