Had oil changed at a franchise place who told me I had a transmission fluid leak. Was leaving for out-of-town trip in three days and called Dans Transmission who told me to bring the car (Jeep Cherokee) in that day. Tom called me back same day to advise me the problem was a shot oil filter assembly. This is THEE # 1 problem with the Jeep 3.2 engine… cuz the part was made of plastic. Tom had new assembly (and new adjoining sensors ) installed next morning. (BTW, I was already a quart low from an oil change 3 days prior!!). Thanks for the customer focus and meticulous work, Tom.

Fantastic service. Great prices. Very knowledgeable. This is the story of a college intern far from home over the summer and his beloved old model 4Runner. Dan took good care of the vehicle and the driver. Dan was honest and went above and beyond to get the car back on the road in a timely manner.

Awesome car repair shop for both the ordinary maintenance and the extraordinary problems. Honesty and a fair price in addition to excellent work is why I come here. I have been going to Dan's Transmission for normal maintenance (oil changes, inspections, etc.) for almost a decade. Also used them for the occasional larger problem. I normally interact with Tommy who is the most friendly guy you will meet. The thing that keeps me coming back is the fair price, the straightforward explanation of issues when I ask questions and the ability to make an appointment instead of having to wait in line. Recently, my van stopped shifting. Naturally I figured it was a transmission problem. I brought it to Dan's Transmission and Tommy took it for a test drive and took some diagnostics. He said it looked like the transmission died. I was looking at around a $4K repair (on a van that probably isn't worth that much). But I really didn't want to buy a new car right now. I decided to proceed with the repair and have them rebuild the transmission. It was going to take a week or more to be done. The next day I got the best call from Tommy ever. He said that they had found that the speed input sensor wire had been chewed up by some critter and that once they replaced that, it was working again. My $4K repair that was going to take a week was now a $280 repair and was ready to go. I was shocked and amazed and extremely grateful. Many mechanics would have just done the transmission rebuild and made the money on the big repair. Not Dan's Transmission. Their integrity, honesty and service is very easy to see and is very refreshing in today's world. This is why I will be coming back to Dan's Transmission if/when the transmission finally does die.
