Simply stand by your own policies. The first thing highlighted on the CarShop website is that certified vehicles will have no dents, dings, or scratches. We initially viewed the vehicle on Monday and scheduled pickup for Friday evening with the clear expectation that all visible scratches would be addressed before delivery. When we arrived, none of the scratches had been repaired, and the vehicle appeared poorly prepared. It was barely washed, with visible water spots and dirt buildup in the wheel wells. We were told we would receive an IOU for the scratch repairs that were already promised to be removed prior to pick up. After a closer look, we also discovered additional issues, including chipped paint on the front bumper and a significant depression with a crack in the grille. I requested that the grille be replaced as part of the IOU. The sales manager stated they would attempt a repair but would not replace it, noting the grille costs approximately $1,000. When I asked for a $1,000 price reduction instead, since the issue would effectively become my responsibility, I was told, "We don't negotiate pricing." Ultimately, we chose not to purchase the vehicle due to a lack of confidence that any commitments, particularly future warranty-related repairs would be honored.

This is my second time buying a vehicle first from Car Sense now from Car Shop and I could not be happier with the way the whole transaction expired. No high pressure, no back-and-forth with a manager then the finance manager Then whoever else was in the back office and wanted to talk to me before buying a car. And my age, I may not need another vehicle before I go to that great parking lot in the sky. And I was very satisfied with the whole process.
