Great family owned service station. They do great work at a reasonable price. I usually will drop the truck off and take the short walk to schoen place for lunch or a pint while I wait. I highly recommend them.

First the good - I had been to this store previously for a state inspection and I was impressed since they passed the inspection without asking for unwanted things to get done, compared to a tire place I went previously, who wanted me to get tires replaced to pass the inspection. So that part is still true, they don't recommend unwanted things to be done to the car. The bad - this time I went for an oil change, and I didn't know they only do synthetic oil changes, so if your car doesn't need synthetic, you are still stuck with it and end up paying 60+$. I wish they advertise it on their website or mention it when setting up the appointment. They also did recommend a service which I think was a needed service, since it was coming up soon on the recommended service on the car user manual. When they quoted the price, before replacing it - they only mentioned the cost of the part and not the labor. So when it was time to pay, the total price was more than what I was hoping for. I wish they would have quoted the full price. And when I checked on the repair pal dot com, the same service for my model car was 27% less than what these guys charged me, and I am comparing the higher limit of the price range from repair pal website. So definitely not a cheap place to get your car serviced. I might have as well got the service done at the dealer, where they let you know before hand the total cost of the service. The only drawback with the dealer is they tend to add unwanted services. I was looking at some of the regulars who came in, and the smart thing they were doing was they had already bought the parts themselves and were only getting them installed here. I am guessing that could bring your cost down, because for the part they installed for me they charged me 2 times more compared to if I had bought it myself. And also they charged me for miscellaneous things like rags, chemicals, hardware etc., - I am not sure if this is standard practice. Another thing that I didn't ask for but got charged anyhow was, windshield washer fluid. Never been charged before at any other place for this. It was almost like they don't want me to come back to this place :) I don't remember seeing this in any past reviews that the oil change here is Synthetic only, so get your oil changed here - only if your car needs synthetic. As of May 2025, labor cost here is 140$. Hope this review helps future customers.

These guys are the best! My truck broke down 2 hours from home and I went to them to see if it was safe to try and drive it home. They took it in and ran diagnostics on it and advised me to not drive it any further. They helped me arrange a tow truck to get it back to my mechanic and then helped me arrange a rental car. One of the guys even drove me to the rental car place! And they didn't charge me for anything! Customer service is 10+++++, they are so amazing! I would recommend them to everyone and am so pleased with their kindness and help. I was so stressed out about my truck breaking down and they were so patient and kind. Thank you soooo much for your assistance!

We have been taking our cars to Craig Barrese for years. My recent experience is just one example of why. We had a sudden failure of the starter on our SUV just a day before we were to load it up and head out on a multi-week vacation. Craig diagnosed it over the phone and despite being booked out for several weeks said he would try to take a look at it if we could get it towed in. I called AAA and waited for a call back from the garage. When closing time came I called to get a status report. I was told that not only had they made time to look at it but we’re working overtime to finish up replacing the starter. I rushed over to pick up the car so they could go home. As I picked it up I was told that because they had no open bays in the garage, they had to work on it in the parking lot (despite some rain showers that afternoon.) Now that is what I call service above and beyond!

Went for car inspection. Friendly staff, waiting time reasonable. Will come back next year.
