I've been bringing my vehicles here for over seven years, and there's a reason I've never looked anywhere else. The work Bob does is consistently excellent — done right the first time, every time — but what really sets this shop apart is the attitude. Over the years I've come to trust their judgment completely. They're straightforward about what actually needs to be done versus what can wait, and I never feel like I'm being upsold on anything. My wife and I were visiting friends in Rochester NY, when the check engine light came on. Our friends recommended that we contact Browncroft Service Center. We called and spoke with a nice man (Bob) he advised us to drive the car to his shop located on Washington Street. When we arrived Bob was courteous when speaking with him. He took the car right into the shop and did a diagnosis. Bob determined it was the alternator and advised us he would have to order one and gave us an estimated cost for the alternator and his services. He advised us we could have it at the end of the day and offered us a ride to our hotel. When the car was fixed he called us and offered to pick us up. We asked what the final bill was and it was what he estimated with the exception of taxes for NY state. I thanked him for great services and later that night thanked our friends for recommending Browncroft Service. So folks if you need a reliable, honest, capable, and detail orientated service garage you need to work with Bob at Browncroft Service. Bob thanks for getting us back on the road. On a recent trip to Rochester NY from Tucson AZ my check engine light came in. I stopped at an Auto Zone to check out the code. I was told it was a fuel sensor and could safely continue my trip. On arrival at my sons in Rochester I ask him to take me to his mechanic. He took me to Browncroft Service Center. I spoke to Bob and told him the problem and that the engine was also using oil every day. He check out the car thoroughly and fixed the sensor problem. He also found a crack in the oil pan that was causing the oil usage. I told him to do what was needed to correct the problems. Bob kept me informed as to what they were doing and how much it would cost throughout the whole process. He promised the car back the next day and kept his promise. He was courteous and professional throughout this time. We left Rochester soon after and returned home to Tucson. I didn't need to put any oil in the car until we got home after 2500 miles and then less than a quart. A big thanks to Bob and the mechanics at Browncroft Service Center for a job well done. I would go back there any time I'm in Rochester.

Have been using Browncroft Service Center for 20 years. The owner Bob has always been professional, honest, and does excellent work at a fair price. Repairs are always properly done and on time. Best auto service shop in the Rochester area - highly recommended.
