Safelite Auto Glass

After a chip in my windshield turned into a crack all the way across within a few minutes, I knew I would be taking my vehicle to Safelite for the replacement. The whole process was super easy, and I was able to get an appointment the next day. The staff at the Novi location were extremely kind, knowledgeable and professional. I have already recommended them to a friend who needs their windshield replaced. I highly recommend them. Thank you all so much, you turned a bummer of a day into a good one!

They gave me an appointment window of 12-5pm but didnt call me until 5:05pm to tell me they were in the way, and didnt get to my home to start until 5:30pm. The technician was cool about it, as I am sure he could sense the tension, but I still believe that is very inconsiderate to schedule people a window and not give updates as I basically wasted a whole day waiting around for them to come do the job. Tried calling to complain about it, but got a automated message telling me to try calling again later.

They broke my brake light housing on my rear window causing a leak which damaged my interior of my car. They lied about fixing the leak and it cost me $1,200 at the car dealership to fix the leak. I made 3 appointments to have it fixed and it never was. It was an aweful experience. And for the windshield I had to make 4 appointments just to get the correct windshield installed. The girl with the sign on her desk that read "I'm pretending to work" was so smart and kept ordering the wrong windshield. Even though I showed her the part number. I will never use Safelite again.

Last Friday Safelite came out to replace my windshield. They were well with in their allotted window. I wasn’t home. They started working . I arrived the tech was extremely friendly and was working away. He definitely got the windshield sealed better than the last company that did it. My wind noise is less than before. He even removed the sticker for my car wash subscription and put on the new windshield without tearing. It was aligned straighter than when I put it on. Definitely appreciated the attention to detail. It’s a jeep I know it’s only a matter of time before it happens again. I’ll definitely use them again for it and my other vehicles. Had the windshield swapped out on my van and now the wind noise is unbearable. Filled out their customer satisfaction survey and expressed my concerns, at the end it asked if I'd like to be contacted about my issues which I of course said yes. Already into the next week and no call, no email, nothing. Now I have to start the process of calling them. I'll update the outcome. Update, I got a warranty appointment two weeks out and low and behold is raining today. As I suspected the windshield is leaking like crazy. It's dripping onto my remote start receiver and filling up my dash pockets. I tried to remove it to keep it dry but they glued it on with something that I cannot move so I'm not going to try. I'm hoping my remote start doesn't short out or they will be replacing that as well which im sure will be a fight. I just wish I would have listened to my insurance company and went with the company they use. This is a nightmare!
