I am a second generation customer of Dan's Auto. They are extremely thorough and offer fair pricing. I have a very rare car that was only made for 2 years and the parts are next to impossible to find. They put in hours calling everywhere to find what I needed. I would never take my vehicles anywhere else.
View on GoogleWent to Dan's Auto Repair and spoke with Nanette the owner's wife and told her that I might need a tune up. She was very nice and I asked her if I would be able to drop off my car and get a ride to work and she said yes and I told her my work hours were until 6:00 p.m. and she said that was fine so I went back in the next morning at 9:00 a.m. to drop off my vehicle and I was told something completely different by Tom. First of all when I walked in the two men that were sitting there, one was Tom, were not friendly at all! I was not even greeted. Tom told me that they wouldn't be able to come and pick me up from work because they close at 5:00 p.m. I was told the complete opposite by Nanette so I was very disappointed and was not able to schedule a time because my schedule is booked up for the next three weeks. Very disappointing that I was told one thing and when I went in it was the total opposite. I don't think I would go back to this shop!!!
View on GoogleLove Dan's Auto Repair! They do their best to keep costs fair and are great with turn around times. It's happened on more than one occasion (not always!) that the bill was less than originally quoted. This tells me that they are not looking for ways to take advantage of people. Everyone is friendly, professional, and patient with questions. Glad we found them.
View on GoogleI brought my Corvette here and had over $3000 worth of work done by the owner, Brian. 3 months ago, he installed several parts, including a brand-new alternator. This week, the alternator stopped working completely. I called, explained that I had the Corvette that was in there and that the alternator isn’t working and he did the work on it so I wanted to bring it in , and one of the ladies working there told me to bring it in the next day. When I arrived, I explained to Brian that I thought the new alternator he installed that went bad. He actually said “that’s what you said last time” and Instead of offering to help, he got upset with me and told me to take the car to another place, refusing to work on it. He wouldn’t even let me explain and told me to leave. I’m not sure if Brian has real emotional problems or just had another bad day because I was trying to be very polite despite the bad part installation. In the past he also accused us of having someone else work on the car and messing up the work he did….we didn’t…. I ended up taking my Corvette to CAMAJ AUTO up the road, where they took it in immediately and replaced the alternator within two hours….everything is working as it should. Camaj Auto is the best. I guess Brian doesn’t stand behind his work, he got very angry I found it unprofessional.
