I went to Muffler Man in Eastpointe today. Not knowing exactly what was wrong with my exhaust system, only that it was incredibly loud!!!!! I had read really great reviews before I went there and I can understand why! They were very friendly, honest and fair with the price! It took approximately 30 minutes and I was on my way with a nice quiet vehicle! I highly recommend them!
View on GoogleWent up to Muffler Man on nine Mile and Gratiot yesterday for them to look at my focus. It had a cracked flex pipe. They told me I would have to change the whole converter assembly plus some sensors and it would be at least 5 hours worth of labor they would need my vehicle first thing in the morning and have it all day. They gave me an estimate of $1,940. First thing this morning I took it to Pelkey Muffler a couple miles south on Gratiot. They told me it needed nothing but a new flex pipe that it would take a couple hours and gave me a quote of $380 out the door. They did a perfect job and had it done in less than an hour. My car is driving super quiet now like it's new again. What muffler Man tried to do to me is what everybody's worst nightmare is that you take your vehicle to a mechanic and they tell you it needs a bunch of stuff it doesn't need and then try to charge you double or triple for the labor on top of it. Very unscrupulous.
View on GoogleI'm a local & was looking for a place to get my flex pipe fixed. Out of all the places they seemed to be the best option. So I went here and besides them doing a wonderful job fixing the flex pipe. There was a lady that walked in from outside waiting for the bus and asked if she could sit in there because she was cold. With no hesitation, he said yeah that's fine. That alone, is what good people do. I highly recommend them. Also the waiting area is clean and warm and on the nicer side of shop waiting areas.

View on GoogleMy wife’s car starting sounding like a tank. Normal shop around the corner could not get her in for a week. Read positive reviews of Ed and this shop. They took her car in right before close, called her first thing in the morning, quoted it, and fixed it that day. Great service, super reasonable price to R&R the flex pipe, and came with 1 year warranty. Would definitely go back.
