One star is generous. This used to be a shop you could trust — the old crew did honest work at a fair price, and I'd sent people their way more than once. That is no longer true. Since new management took over, the difference is night and day. I came in for a straightforward exhaust job and was quoted twice what every other shop on Gratiot charges for the exact same work. Not a little high — double. I never even had the work done; there was no reason to, when I could drive five minutes down the street and pay half. What I didn't expect was how I'd be treated for noticing. When I questioned a price that far out of line, the man behind the counter didn't explain it or stand behind it. He got hostile and started calling me names I won't repeat here — over and over, in front of other people, like insulting a customer who didn't take the bait was just part of his day. I've spent years in customer-facing business and I have never seen someone come apart like that over a person simply declining an overpriced quote. This isn't a "bad day" situation. It's how this place now operates — gouge the price, and if you don't fall for it, go after the customer instead. The complete lack of professionalism, let alone basic respect, was stunning. If you valued this shop under the old management, understand that what made it good is gone. Get your quote anywhere else on Gratiot — you'll pay half and keep your dignity. This place has earned exactly one star and none of your business. AVOID — especially if you remember this place before the new management.

They replaced my muffler in 30 minutes while I waited. The price was excellent. The owner, Adam, is a cool guy. So, great price, fast and friendly service, what more count you ask for? Go here for anything muffler related.

Loyal customer for 10+ years, have gotten new muffler+catalytic converter installed/welded in for $75, gotten snapped off exhausts welded into place+new mounts welded in for less than $75, called today and their "floor guy" answered the phone and told me at least $200 to weld snapped piece back into place, I questioned why its $200 knowing the prices I've paid for services before, and was hung up on. spent $100s and $100s of dollars at this place over the years, only shop I've ever gone too for exhaust work, will not ever be returning here as they lost my business. Had great conversations with the owner and always a good guy, its a shame their "floor guy" is running their business down especially the loyal customers, over giving an outrageous price+hanging up on customers. Unfortunately this is why business fail because of floor employees who don't care or understand that 80% of business comes from 20% of returning customers. Good luck to this shop.

Today I visited Auto Muffler Service in Eastpointe, for the first time after my parents recommended them. I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and easy. The customer service was truly top-tier — the guys there kept me informed every step of the way, showing me exactly what was wrong with my car and then walking me through the results after they fixed it. Before and after pictures will be posted. They were upfront, honest, and genuinely great at what they do. I'm beyond happy to finally be driving without the loud, obnoxious noise my car was making! The team's craftsmanship is impressive — they handled all the welding and installation I needed in-house, and I was amazed at how quickly they got everything done. I’ve never seen a shop get me in and out like that before! Their shop is also fantastic, definitely the most aesthetically pleasing shop I’ve ever seen in my life. They stock a lot of parts right on-site, which really took away some of the anxiety for me. Plus, the waiting area is cozy and nicely decorated, making it a very comfortable place to relax while they worked on my car. I can confidently say they have a customer for life as long as I’m driving! I would recommend the Auto Muffler Service shop to anyone for ALL muffler/exhaust system needs. They’re gonna get you right!!

Adam and his dad Tony is amazing muffler guys..they have did mid muffler work on 4 challengers now that I've owned..I highly recommend...would never go anywhere else..very reasonably priced..u can not go wrong..been doing business with them at least 10 years now..very fast service
