Dropped off my engine block and crank to be cleaned, balanced and inspected on April 10th. The guy behind the counter told me it would be "a few days" and would not tell me a price to wash, balance and inspect. Instead, he made me put down $200 upon drop off and we would "find out after they had a look". I called once a week for 4 weeks and every time I was told that they were about to get to it and they would call me back the next day. I never received a single call from them. When I called on the 4th week they told me no one had looked at it yet, but as soon as I said I was going to pick it up as is they put me on hold for about 20 seconds and came back to tell me I needed to bring in my pistons because the block needed to be honed (I guess it takes 20 seconds to break out the bore gauge and inspect 6 cylinders). I told them I was coming in to pick it up anyway and they felt it was appropriate to keep $150 of my $200 down for washing and "inspecting" the block and gave my block back in worse shape than when I dropped it off. As far as I am concerned this place owes me $150 and has wasted a month of my time.

Want to extend a HUGE thank you to the team here! Highly professional, they know their work well, no-frills environment. Highly recommend! After taking my car to 4th Street Auto, they recommended coming here for my car's engine problem. Turned out coolant was leaking for a while inside and it damaged engine. All things considered, I was lucky there was an engine already in shop to replace it. Their turnaround time was incredible. It took less time for me to drop the car off, get it diagnosed, and have a replaced engine and be back to driving it again than for the last dealership I'd gone to to even start looking at the car and start a diagnosis. And that wasn't an engine! Highly recommend!
View on GoogleI have a 2003 Saturn Vue. I had put a lot of money into it and I thought it was running great. Then the engine died. After a long review I decided it would be cheaper to get it fixed than to buy someone else problems. I called Mike at D & S. Within no time he had my car in the shop working on it. It actually took me longer to come up with the money to pay him than it did for them to pretty much rebuild my engine. I have had the car back for a week now and it purrs like a kitten. It has never run so good. Mike was upfront and honest about everything it needed and what it would cost. He tried very hard to get my car running right and keep down the costs for me. I have already recommended them to 2 of my friends and highly recommend them to you. Update: here we are a year later and she still runs great!

Remember this if you still choose to do business at this old and outdated shop . They will rip you off and their warranty is a joke.
