Curtis and the whole team at pleasant car care are my new go-to auto mechanic for the most reliable, efficient, and affordable service, as well as the kindest customer care. As someone who knows nothing about cars and was worried about getting taken advantage of since my dad could no longer help me look after my car when he got sick, I continue to feel so grateful to have found this place and especially for Curtis’ patient and clear explanations (always accompanied with photos and videos along with an invoice/ quote) to help educate me in an accessible way. Pleasant car care in Watertown is my top recommendation for family and friends with car trouble, needing an oil change, an inspection, and/or for honest input about what absolutely needs to be done urgently vs. what can wait for the next paycheck. If I could give negative stars I would! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE We had an appointment for 11am 6/13/26 for them to run a diagnostic just to check what the issue is as we heard our breaks squeeling. They informed us they will call us when they figure out the issue to coordinate what needs to be done. We recieved no call and so called them at 2pm same day. At which point, the guy on the phone stated "they just started looking at your car, we will call you when its done". Still no call. 4pm hits, we try to call back, however they had closed and so kept our car WITHOUT PERMISSION over night. We returned in person on 6/14/26, right when they opened, to collect the car and were told they still had not run diagnostics on the car, and they are doing it now. We saw the car propped up in their shop. We requested they just return the car to us, as we wanted to now go some place else due to the lack of communication. One of the workers was driving the car out of their shop for us to pick up in their parking lot, and we noticed him struggling to start the car multiple times. He finally did and so we asked what the issue was, as that had NEVER happened before. He stated "I don't know i tried starting it 8 times and it wouldn't but you guys should be good". We pressed him for an answer as we have never had that issue before. He simply said "you guys are good don't worry'". We drove the car home, turned it off, and now it wont restart! Multiple attempts and it wont start back up. Now not only do we not have a functioning car, their shop is closed, and we have to spend extra $$ to tow the car, and uber back and forth from work. TERRIBLE PLACE! TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! They broke something that was not even broken! STAY AWAY

Ed at Pleasant Car Care is really fantastic. He is extremely knowledgeable and extremely honest about my cars repair needs. His communications were timely and often, and I can’t recommend Pleasant Car Care enough! Thanks so much for getting my car up to speed for my summer trip from Boston to Minnesota for my nephews college graduation.

Seriously an elevated auto mechanic experience! These guys are awesome! By that I mean: friendly, professional, TRANSPARENT, and exceptionally courteous. Customer service level way above par, and the actual work done was speedy and correct. I see no reason to ever use another shop. Thanks Pleasant St Car Care!

Took my car in after getting a flat the night before. They did a prompt and quick evaluation, and were extremely communicative about their findings both in the shop, as well as following up with both a call and a clear video outlining any additional issues they found during their complementary safety inspection. They didn't bring up anything I didn't already know needed to be done, which I really appreciated, and offered what seemed to be a fair price and fast service (plus a rebate on some of the tires!). Overall, a very pleasant experience. Everyone was quite pleasant to interact with, and they even got me a Lyft when I dropped off my car and had to head out for another appointment!
