Came to Direct Tire & Auto in Watertown for wheel balancing and an alignment check. The wheel balancing was done well and I appreciated being told I didn’t need an alignment, which felt honest and straightforward. The issue was the handling of my car. I informed them ahead of time that my window button had cosmetic damage but still worked normally—you just had to press it down. The window had never failed before. After they worked on the car, the window stopped working properly. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and they eventually got it functioning again, but only after taking apart the driver-side door. After that, multiple interior door panels, trim pieces, and screws were left uninstalled and placed in my driver’s seat, and the car was returned to me in that condition as “ready for pickup.” There was no explanation or effort to reassemble it. As a result, my door is now not properly secured and the trim comes loose when opening it because screws are missing. When I raised it, Doug said the pieces “just pop in,” but did not offer any real resolution. Rick at the front desk was also very rude and dismissive. Just plain rude & unprofessional. Overall, while the wheel balancing itself was good, the lack of care in returning my vehicle properly assembled and the poor customer service were very unprofessional. There are many tire shops in the area, and I will not be returning.

To Bob, Doug, and the technician that fixed my car thank you!! Process was quick and easy they were the only place that was able to get my tire same day. Made me feel at home while waiting would return for the amazing customer service!! I popped my tire and everyone told me “I can have it shipped”. I also had a very strict time restriction and they were able to get the car done in enough time. Thank you again!!

Direct Tire offered a competitive quote to TireRack and was able to switch out my winter tires for me at the same cost as if I ordered the tires from TireRack and had Direct Tire do the labor. Clark and Rick were both very responsive and very helpful. I dropped my car off first thing in the morning and they completed the switch-out very quickly!! The office staff were all very inviting and nice while I waited. Would highly recommend this location!

I can’t say enough good things about Direct Tire. From the moment you walk in, the staff is professional, friendly, and genuinely focused on helping you …not upselling you. They take the time to clearly explain what is going on with your car, lay out your options, and give you a fair and transparent estimate of the cost of repairs. I chose not to do the work this time. I’ve been taking my car there for excellent service for more than a decade. It’s time for a new car. What really stands out is their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile—they check additional things at no charge just to make sure everything is in good shape. It’s not easy to find a repair shop you can fully trust, but this is one of them. Honest, reliable, and skilled—exactly what you hope for but don’t always get. I’ll definitely be coming back when my new car requires service and recommending them to anyone who needs quality auto service.

Trusting a full-service independent mechanic once you are out-of warranty and are over dealer pricing and service is a trust fall! Hurry up and fall! Direct Tire is not a franchise or chain, it’s a family business. Need a flat fixed? Drive over (early) and they’ll have you in and out. Have a major failure? Have it towed directly there and get back on the road same-week. Direct Tire specializes in service, communication, and honesty. They also have all the tools and a long-time pool of mechanics who are serious, careful, and trained. Expect thoughtful guidance - like when a good aftermarket part is suitable or stronger - or when you need to spend on OEM crtical parts. And always expect fair, honest pricing and loyalty. No need to name names because top-down, from the very active and hands-on/eye-on owner… through the service team… and on to the mechanics, these folks respect their clients and the vehicles they work on. I’m a long-time tire and occasional customer who built trust; and for a few years DT has been my only auto shop. My luxury full-size SUV just had a failure. AAA bright it straight to DT on Monday… and I had it back Friday evening. It runs like when I bought it, and the work was diagnosed throughly and done smarty. Gracious owner and loyal team.
