Started like any other call they get. Year, Make, Model, a engine size and issue. He looked it up based on the correct information I gave him. I set an appointment for 3_4 days later, dropped off the vehicle the night before. He calls me back a few hours later and tells me they got the hours wrong to do the work. I heard it was about 2hrs, he says it 3, and the price to do the work went up 42% from what he quoted, no negotiating, it is what it is. Also said the part has to come out from the bottom, but 4 or 5 different videos I have watched, all of them took out of from the top. Can't attest to his work, just my experience.

I highly recommend North Fifth Auto Repair. Jesse is very straight forward and was able to tell me exactly what was happening with my car. He was able to fix a problem from a national tire/auto repair company that they couldn’t fix three times. He is doing great work at a fair price and the best part is, he only tells you what needs to be fixed. He told me I could safely wait in making a repair that the dealership wanted to make immediately and that wasn’t needed. Thanks!

There might be a lot of great reviews for this place, but I completely disagree. We've had one of our cars "fixed" a couple of times, and these guys can't even install headlights properly. When they did that (1 hour of labor), I inspected the job with another mechanic (a good friend of ours but far away from us - but reliable), the new bulbs were just hanging out randomly and the job was far from complete. When they installed front brakes on the same car, there was an issue with a component on the disc that ended up scraping the inside of one of our wheels. I had to bring the car back and got some excuse about something dislodging, but it appeared to be a shoddy, rushed job. I have a friend that lives near the shop and he can vouch for the lazy, incomplete work they do as well. Anyway, again - many good reviews for this shop - and we've given them plenty of chances... I'd steer clear and try a place like Trailside Auto in Wasco instead...
