Fix Auto Fox Valley

In late October, my parked car was hit. The at-fault driver’s insurance strongly pushed me to use this shop, stating that it was within their insurance network and a certified Toyota repair facility. Based on that reassurance, I agreed, even though my initial preference was a different certified Toyota shop in Naperville. After getting my car back, I immediately noticed that the paint color did not match the rest of the vehicle. When I brought this concern to Ale, I was told that this was “the correct color” and was given a series of technical explanations that did not address the very visible mismatch. I am not an auto body expert, but I do know that the repaired area was noticeably different in color. I returned again, and while the paint was blended, the front of the car remains darker than the rest of the vehicle. The issue was never truly corrected, only masked. At this point, the car would need to be repainted or wrapped to properly fix the problem. While I will acknowledge that the mechanical repair itself appears to have been done correctly, the paint work did not meet reasonable quality standards. For that reason, I would not recommend this shop, and I am leaving a two-star review.

Linda and Allen were excellent to work with and were a referral by Mike Hample from Fox Valley GMC. The Fix Team was extremely knowledgeable, professional and very friendly. My vehicle was perfectly done and the they texted me at each step letting know the process. I would absolutely use them for any of my repair needs. Thank you for taking great care of my GMC AT4!

Had to have work done after a storm surge damaged my front, rear and passenger side on my car. Insurance recommended Fix Auto and I know why. They were professional, communicative, and explained the process. They ordered the parts and were ready to start when I dropped off the car. They kept me updated and finished ahead of schedule. The car looks like new again and, as a nice touch, they cleaned the interior as well as a wash of the exterior. Extremely happy even though I hope I never need them again, but very glad I had them fix my car!

Linda, at the front desk, explained everything clearly and in a very friendly, understandable manner. John and Steven assessed the damage to my car thoroughly and explained the work that was needed. I was given a complete, written description of all the work done to my car, along with a written warranty. My car was repaired, impeccably. All the work was done with care and expertise. My car was presented to me thoroughly cleaned both outside and inside. It looked like it had been professionally detailed; it looked brand new. I am thoroughly pleased with the expert skills of everyone at Fix Auto Fox Valley. John.DeNicolo maintains his shop with the highest standards possible. I was more than pleased with the care my car received at Fix Auto! They were understanding, patient and considerate of my vehicle and actually took care of having it towed to their repair shop without me having to meet the tow truck. The repair was a big one and they actually completed the job a week sooner than expected! And the cost of the repair was thousands less than the dealer quoted!They went above and beyond in my opinion and all I can say is “thank you, Fix Auto!”
