Took my car in for an inspection, they said the transmission was making an unsafe noise. They had it for 5 work days, multiple calls a day, I was told they’d call me back in ten minutes 4 times, left on hold for 20 minutes only to call back and be hung up on after I finally asked to speak to the manager right at that moment. They couldn’t even tell me if they had done any inspections at the end of day 5 or confirm my email was correct over the phone. They’re overwhelmed and too small, but that is not my problem. I was told I’d have an answer the next day and took my car back on day 6 with no call-backs and no answers. I was charged $150 for an “inspection”, with literally nothing written on the paperwork and no proof of what they did or found. They lied to me about the work they did. Said my car failed a pressure test, had multiple leaks, a damaged rack, a transmission issue in third gear, and that it was going to cost me almost 2k to fix the suspension issue alone. Kia Dealership had it for one day and told me the transmission was fine and they couldn’t find the noise in third gear, it passed the pressure test without single leak, and the rack was fine- it was a single bent rod, oil pan seal issue, and a loose valve in the top of the engine that they should’ve been able to see once they opened it up. I am assuming my car sat there for 5 days untouched and they left the windows down as well. Would not recommend.

I won't be coming back here again. I’ve had my cars serviced at this shop several times—mostly for oil and filter changes, as well as tire replacements. The experience has been a complete failure. The oil was either underfilled or overfilled; air ducts were left loose; and the access panel for the oil drain plug wasn't put back in place. If you enjoy sitting at a reception desk for hours on end, waiting for absolutely everything, then by all means—be my guest. Their schedules are completely disregarded—and I mean *completely*. They don't keep any spare parts in stock; you show up for your appointment, and *only then* do they start ordering the filters. A simple oil change takes them anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours—or even longer. I arrived at my scheduled time to have a tire replaced, but it turned out the tire hadn't even been delivered yet. The whole process dragged on for a week; they finally installed the tire on my fifth visit—and then failed to balance it. In other words, getting a single tire replaced at this shop takes over a week. I had to go back just to get the balancing done, which cost me another two hours. And through it all, everyone just keeps smiling sweetly. I am definitely switching to a different service center.

This place was awful. I was hoping it was better after new ownership, but it somehow got worse. I called about making an appointment for an AC check/oil change/tire rotation, they told me to make an appointment online and come in. When I got there, my car sat in the parking lot, untouched, for almost an hour and a half despite having a scheduled appointment. Once they finally brought my car back, they told me they don’t have the machine needed to check my AC, which was my primary reason for coming…. I waited another hour and a half for my oil change and tire rotation. They told me once they get the right machine for my AC, it would be $250, even though it was recharged at this location less than a year ago. Once I got my paperwork, only the oil had been changed. No tire rotation, no general maintenance checks, no AC check, nothing. Despite being there for 3 hours. The staff was super unprofessional gossiping about other employees at the front desk in front of several other customers. The waiting area smells disgusting and is not well kept. I ended up going to a different Meineke location where I found out my AC was under Meineke warranty and was free to check/recharge. Meineke Bolingbrook is a scam and just wanted your money. I was much more impressed with the friendless/professionalism, cleanliness, and wait time at the OTHER Meineke location. I will not be coming back to Meineke Bolingbrook and would not recommend to anyone.

I recently brought my car to Meineke for brakes and check engine light and could not be happier with the experience. The entire process was smooth and transparent. Rachel and Alex were incredibly professional, took the time to show and explain exactly what needed to be done, and kept me updated with how things were going with repairs. Car is now running great! It is rare to find a repair shop that is this honest and dedicated to quality work. Highly recommend this team to anyone in the Bolingbrook area!

There’s a reason why people are writing reviews on the store. After waiting for almost 3 hours. I finally got my oil change. The service was OK. The person at the front desk was nice. However, there seems to be issues with every person‘s vehicle. I find it Unacceptable for people to take advantage of others. While I was sitting there for almost 3 hours I realized how many people I’ve heard her speak to and how many people had trouble with their cars. Even though they only came in for oil changes. I understand that they might want to help. Not sure if it was legitimate or not. However, it seemed like they kept pushing and pushing for the repairs. I would be very cautious to bring your car here. Especially if you don’t want to spend thousands of dollars. Take it to another location. It seems like the other Bolingbrook location is better and it has better reviews. Overall, I would never bring my car back. also, it seems like the staff had really bad negative energy against each other. There was such high tension there. And they would laugh it off when they would joke with each other. It was just awkward. There was also multiple people that were very upset that they were waiting so long. not a good experience.
