My daughters car had the check engine light on and it was throwing a transmission code. We took it to this location and they did a thorough check of the car and found several issues that in total were going to cost a lot of money to get fixed. They understood that it was alot and listed out the issues in order of importance and the cost which is much more manageable. Her car had several leaks, broken motor mounts, a valve cover gasket leak and a bunch more issues with it. My daughter has taken this car in for a lot of repairs since she got it and this has been one of the only other places that did such a good job with letting us know the issues to get us prepared.

Took Silverado 2500 in for free check. Was referred to Joe by a local parts store. I had a shifting problem on a high mileage transmission. I had replaced a shift solenoid. I was told that possibly the unit was ok, seemed to be shifting ok at that time. I drove it a while before other shift codes appeared. I took it back to Joe and told them to rebuild it, to play it safe. They did what they said they would do. I have no complaints. They diagnosed some problems under the hood, which I chose to fix myself. The price they quoted me was the price I payed. There were no problems, no hassles. I recommend them highly. I now have driven the truck a few months pulling some heavy loads(skidsteers) with no problems. The two ladies I dealt with were easy to deal with. They are very knowledgeable of transmissions, engines, etc. I would use the business again.

Absolutely the best transmission business. I went as a relive up without an appointment and was seen immediately. From the moment I entered the building I felt a at ease. Alysia on reception was amazing, professional and courteous she explained the procedure to check my transmission to me. The whole team of mechanics treated my vehicle impeccably and undertook a full car inspection as well as the transmission issue. They diagnosed a few minor vehicle items that would need attention in due course and showed them to me in person and educated me fully. I was so impressed. I did not require any transmission work and they showed my the liquid with minimal metal pieces therein. What a a relief. After the whole inspection was completed I was amazed that there was NO charge. That never happens. So from the start to finish I can only express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the whole team at Transmissions by Joe. If you need any work, then look no further that this shop. I can't say enough about them. They saved my life and my car. The most friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to everyone. They really treat you like family and are very understanding, kind and courteous.

They seem to have some supplier issues, because they keep getting bad parts all the time. I went there to try and get my transmission fixed about 9 times, but the issue never got fully resolved. They were worried about a code that kept popping up, but I don't think that would cause as significant of a shift flare as my FJ was having. Then again, I'm no mechanic. I will say that the people there are genuinely sweet and friendly, and they do fully honor their 1 year warranty, because the the only big thing they charged me for after the rebuild was new solenoids. Everything after that was pretty much free of charge. Their test drives going from 8-10 are appreciated. Nobody else would see me, but they did, no hesitation. Still though, I got tired of all the return visits and just traded my vehicle in for a new one.
