I was impressed by the overall level of communication provided by everyone at the Japanese Auto Center. Torrance was a bit further than a few other Japanese import mechanics closer to me, but after making several calls and knowing they have been in business for 40 years convinced me to select them. They were honest and didn’t try to talk me into anything I didn’t need and had my car back to me quickly. I will use them again in the future.

This was a major service, and I didn’t consider taking my car anywhere else because of the expertise and reliability of the team at JAC. I’ve brought my previous vehicles here as well and have never had any setbacks or issues, which gave me the confidence to trust them again. I came prepared with a detailed list of items, including part numbers and the specific services I was looking for. The technician, Mario, who assisted me took the time to carefully review everything, made thorough notes, and ensured all of it was clearly added to the job for the mechanic and reflected in the quote. This is where Japanese Auto Center really stands out compared to many other shops I’ve seen or heard about. The pricing was reasonable for the scope of work, and the turnaround time was completely acceptable given the size of the service. From start to finish, the experience was smooth and reassuring, and I genuinely felt that my car was in good hands. Overall, the service, transparency, and professionalism were excellent. I highly recommend Japanese Auto Center to anyone looking for knowledgeable and trustworthy service for their vehicle.

I am so very happy to have found such an attentive business for my toyota tacoma! I will definitely go back! They are so organized and have so many great mechanics too. So much better than a dealership any day. Thank you so much!
View on GoogleI liked that they were AAA approved, I saved $75 when picking up my car. The downside was I lost $53 because they charge a 3% credit card fee, so that was a wash. The service was very good and the repair seems well done. I’ve only driven the car for 2 days. The staff and mechanic were all very polite and explained what I needed. This is not a discount shop, but I felt they were honest (hard to find these days) So I trusted them to do the job. I’m sure if I had any problems they would be there to correct them. Next time I just need to bring a boat load of cash and hope I don’t get mugged to save that 3%. First time I’ve ever been charged this fee.

The owner, Dan, and all his staff were very personable, communicated throughout the process, responsive, and provided honest and great service. And I never felt like they were trying to rip me off. I definitely plan to return to them in the future.
