Kia Cerritos Service Center

I had an appointment for 7:15am for a minor service. I normally get the earliest that I could so I can get in and get out fast. I even came in way earlier than my appointment time and did not get out of the shop until 12 noon. Wasted so much time waiting for my vehicle. This is my 2nd KIA vehicle and could be the last because the services keeps on degrading. I was able to compare the services, amenities and comfort in waiting for your vehicle because we also own Toyota and Lexus and the services for these 2 were way better than what KIA has to offer. I'm. Looking to trade in my KIA for a Toyota within this year because I can't stand the service that KIA has to offer their patrons. Not even a free coffee or comfortable waiting area. The prices for their services is also close to what we're paying for Toyota or Lexus but without the amenities and comfort.

If it wasn’t because I purchased a maintenance package from that dealer and they told me I was only able to get it done there, I would never go back to that place. Go somewhere else if you can. On Saturday Dec 13, 2025 I went in for my scheduled maintenance appointment that I made for 1pm. I was greeted by Service tech Charles Kroon. I mentioned to him that I should have a maintenance package purchased that covered the simple oil and oil filter change and that is all I was in for that day. I told him this was the second one that I went in for and the first I went in they did it with no problem. He then said that I did not have any maintenance package purchased. I said that is incorrect because I have the contract that says it does and that I could go home and get it to show to him. He then said that the 3rd party vendor that was supposed to cover my maintenance was closed and they could not get it approved on Saturdays. I told him that the previous time I went was also a Saturday and the technician was able to call and get it approved. I mentioned that I was not trying to be difficult but I just needed to get my maintenance done just as I scheduled it because Saturdays are the only days I have some free time. We were then approached by the very unprofessional manager Henry M. who instead of trying to find a solution to the problem he just seemed to want to get rid of me. He told Charles to call and show me that they won’t answer so that I could leave. I then tried to explain to him again and he just kept saying no. They made me go all the way back home to get my sales contract for the vehicle I bought there at Kia Cerritos. I brought the contract in and showed it to Henry, but he was so set on that I did not have a maintenance package purchase although I showed it right to him. His behaviour was unprofessional and unwelcoming that I really regretted ever purchasing anything from your dealership. He said he wasn’t going to help me because the 3rd party vendor was closed that day to go during the week. I told him I work and go to school during the week. I don't have time, which is why I scheduled it for Saturday. He said he was the only manager and there was no one else that could help. I then went to look for the General Manager and they referred me over to the General sales manager desk. That’s where they told me that I shouldn’t have had to go all the way back home for the contract they could’ve gone over to talk to them. I appreciate their assistance because they got the issue resolved promptly after Henry swore it wasn’t going to be fixed that day. The whole thing ended with him calling me back with his hand and trying to taunt me into a fight because I told him “ I got my issue resolved but no thanks to him.” All of this was caused by a miscommunication in their department and I feel like customers should not be treated this way because of their errors.

I’ve been coming to Kia Cerritos for years, and while service was never amazing, it’s gotten significantly worse. A few years ago, my car was damaged at the dealership and they denied responsibility, only offering to “buff it out.” Since then, I’ve continued going for convenience, but the wait times are always excessive—even with a 7 AM appointment, I don’t get my car back until 12–1 PM. My last two visits have been the worst. Earlier this year, they had my car for nearly a week and didn’t work on it until my husband showed up in person. Now I’m back again for warranty service, *which the warranty may not even cover which is the only reason why i brought it to kia and I still get stuck with a bill if its not covered* and it’s been 3 days with no updates despite messaging twice. Very poor communication and lack of urgency. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience has been frustrating enough to share.

The fastest and most pleasant car leasing experience I’ve ever done with the Kia dealer in Cerritos. The sales consultant was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and knew exactly what I was interested in. The leasing option is so much easier than financing.

Really satisfied with the service here, had a pleasant experience with my service advisor Jose Cadena! He was very helpful and answered any questions I had.
