Brought my classic car in for oil change and timing check due to engine run on for my 383 stroker engine. They told me they checked the timing at idle. They should’ve checked the timing at 3000 rpm. The engine run was still happening. After talking to them about checking the timing at 3000 rpm, they wanted to charge me another $100 for something that should’ve been done in the first place. Then they wanted to charge me $1,100.00 to install spark plugs, spark plug wires, rotor & distributor cap.

The shop turned me away from working on my 1986 Chevy El Camino. They stated that they only work on cars built in the 70s or older even though their website shows that they have builds for a 1986 Bronco, 2006, charger, and a 2012 VW Beetle.

What a great company!! Fair pricing for quality work!! Dave in the office is outstanding!! He can explain everything that needs to be done to where you actually understand and he's excellent at keeping you up to date on the work. Not high pressure up selling in anyway which is a nice change of pace. They put in an updated a/c unit which of course they had to take out the old one in my 77 corvette and did a phenomenal job along with a new manifold. When I brought it in I thought the valves needed adjusting because I heard a ticking noise by cylinder 7, turned out it was just a exhaust leak which they fixed"just saying that because they are honest and accurate " they did other work per my request and now my vette runs like new!! I will only take my car to them in the future!! Highly recommend Deadwood Auto to anyone with an older vehicle and want the work done right the first time!!! Thank you, Dave and the team of amazing mechanics. You will be seeing me again!! Just not right away:) 10 stars in my book!!
