I recently visited Auto Correct for a routine oil change, and overall I had a pretty positive experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, professional, and very welcoming. The gentleman helping me at the front desk was especially polite and took the time to explain everything clearly without making me feel pressured or rushed. During the oil change, the technicians also inspected my vehicle and pointed out a couple of additional issues they noticed that may need attention in the future. I appreciated that they brought those things to my attention in an informative way rather than using scare tactics or aggressive upselling. It honestly felt like they were trying to help me stay ahead of potential problems instead of just trying to sell extra services. The only reason I am not giving a full five-star review has to do with the pricing. The business advertised the oil change for $48.63, which is the price I expected to pay when I arrived. However, when it came time to settle the bill, the total came out to $56.34. When I asked about the difference, the gentleman explained that the extra amount was due to shop fees and other charges not included in the advertised price. To their credit, they did listen to my concern and adjusted the price by removing the fees, which I appreciated very much. That level of customer service and willingness to work with me definitely mattered. My issue is more with the advertising itself. In my opinion, if a business advertises a service for a certain price, the final amount should closely reflect that advertised number aside from normal sales tax. Even after removing the fees, the total with tax still came out to about $50.41, which is higher than the original advertised price. Again, I want to stress that the staff themselves were courteous, respectful, and helpful throughout the entire visit, and the service was completed quickly and professionally. I would likely return because of how well I was treated, but I do think the pricing should be presented more transparently upfront so customers know exactly what to expect before checkout.
