Costco Tire Service Center

Joe at Tire Center not very helpful. Spending $700 for Tires I wanted too learn about quality of Different tire brands. All he would say in an arrogant Tone is he liked Michelin. I Could Not buy Michelins. There are over 10 brands He could have explained and been helpful. I worked for Costco for 6 Years and I went above and beyond too help Customers. Also The Installation of tires was pretty sloppy "white" installation grease left running down the tires.

Changed the tires faster than most places, but gave a couple tires 85psi and the rest 75psi. Strange way of thinking and it was one steer tire that was 85psi on the passenger side and 75psi on the driver side and the rear dually tires were all different, but other than that, the service was great! They took my money as expected!

I schedule an appointment for car rotation. They took my car and they kept the car for 45 minutes. They didn’t call me until later and said come get the car. The car is ready and when I went and picked up my keys, they didn’t even say we didn’t perform anything on the car. They just gave me a piece of paper I got home I read the paper. The paper says they did not do anything because it’s too early to call rotation they wasted my time and my day off. They actually should check the mileage on the car before they let the customer leaves not waste 45 minutes of our time and not do anything to the tire. So after two months, I went back for rotation, I tried to pulled out of the parking lot pieces came off of the bottom of my car so I went back to ask what is that? The guy shook his shoulder and said I don’t know what that it came off after you did my car rotation. He shook his shoulder again said I don’t know what that is the worst service on earth. I’d rather pay extra $400 to other places and never go back to Costco tire.

Updated to add: DISCOUNT TIRE WAS ABLE TO CORRECT WHAT JASON WAS UNABLE TO!!! After THREE FAILED visits to Costco, JASON WAS UNABLE TO PROPERLY BALANCE OUR VEHICLE!! Discount confirmed that EVERY SINGLE NEWLY INSTALLED TIRE WAS OFF BALANCE BY .75. At this point, either Costco has faulty equipment, or the negligence by Jason and his staff is intentionally done. ——————— Had a poor experience at the Buckeye tire center and decided to try this location. Had purchased four new tires, but needed four new TPMS sensors and the vehicle needed to be balanced. Called on 7/11 and got a same day appointment. Senors were successfully replaced but I was told the balance was fine since it was brand new tires. Spoiler alert: the balance was not fine. Called and spoke to the manager, Jason, on 7/12. He was quick to help rectify the situation, but not before telling me I “needed to calm down”. This was after I made it clear that I am coming from across town, for a second day. When Jason originally answered the phone I said “I had my vehicle in there yesterday for a balance but after driving it this morning I don’t think the service was completed” Jason said “of course it was!! We balance all of the tires that come in and out of here” I said “then why did your service guy tell my husband a balance wasn’t necessary, when we specifically brought the truck here for balance and sensors”. Needless to say, the front left tire was not balanced correctly. Despite two Costco locations having serviced my vehicle specifically for these tires. It’s not wise to tell someone to calm down when you’re compromising the safety of their family on the roadways because your staff is too lazy to properly do their job. Again, I SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR A BALANCE!! Only to be told no!!! Jason repeatedly told me he wasn’t working on 7/11 - are you really a qualified manager if your staff is ruining customer relationships in your absence?

I have been buying my tires at Costco for 13 years because of the promise to check my tire pressure anytime. At this Costco they have an air station outside in the parking lot where I have to check my own tire pressure. I’m a senior and that is not an easy thing for me to do. Plus I can do that at any gas station so why go to Costco? I will now buy my tires wherever I get the best deal and an honored promise of service. I am no longer loyal to Costco for my tires.
