Romaine Electric Corporation

The bearing went out in my 20 year old Ryobi table saw. It's really hard to find businesses willing to work on small electric motors. I called around until I found Matt at Romaine Electric. He told me they typically only work on DC auto stuff but bring it in and he would take a look. Within minutes of arriving he replaced my bearing! I really appreciated thier willingness to help me out. Friendly shop with great customer service.

If negative stars were possible they would apply to this company. I try to be a reasonable person and give companies a chance especially in the business climate were in presently. Romaine Electric has screwed my wallet over the last three times I have dealt with them (3 Strikes & your out). First time they rebuilt a starter and after driving back home (an hour each way to & from) installed the starter and it didn't work that trip cost me $350.00. Had to drive back again to drop it off from them to look at and 2 weeks later they called & said it was fixed, that trip cost me $650.00 more. No credit or break for the $350.00 I already spent there. Then I had a solenoid replaced on a starter that was perfectly fine other then the terminals had broken off when removing the engine, this turned into 2 solenoids and when we reinstalled it, the starter would try to restart the engine when it was turned off. Called Romaine and their opinion was was the solenoid was back feeding causing this issue. That repair cost me $154.00 and two more trips. I opted to buy a new starter from them as I needed to get our truck up & going, that cost me ANOTHER $358.00. Got it back to our shop, installed it and it worked fine no more then 10 times. Went to go start it to move the truck and there was no start & no crank. Being in the situation of needing this truck we installed a used starter from a truck we are not using at the time. Everything was fine, tried to return the new starter to Romaine & they claimed the shaft was bent saying that the starter engaged while the motor was running, that we had wiring issues with the truck and many other various excuses and refused to warranty the starter. I would recommend O'Reilly's, Amazon or Auto Zone before Romaine, at least those companies have integrity and stand behind the products warranty rather than soaking your checkbook for their ineptness.

Romaine Electric did a FANTASTIC job of helping me get the starter in my tractor up and running again. I wish I could give them a higher than 5-star rating!!! Excellent work, Excellent Customer Service, Excellent Honesty/Character. I highly recommend them! Blessings, -kevin-

Paul went above and beyond for us when we were stranded in our Motorhome in Spokane this past summer. He sold us a new alternator which we put on and went on our way to our next stop in Utah. During our consequent travels, we had more alternator problems so we called Paul for help and he asked us to send it back and he would replace it with a brand new one, overnight at their cost. He didn't think it was the alternator's problem, he suspected the original connections so he included a brand new wiring harness in the package. It turned out that the wiring was the problem and, because of his willingness to help, we have had no more problems. We continued our travels and are now back home in Arizona..... thanks to Paul

They have rebuilt several things for me including a starter on a 1937 forklift that I could not find parts for anywhere they had it out next day for me for under $100 The quality and speed of work is impressive and I would recommend them to anyone.
