Larry came out on a Sunday Father’s Day and didn’t give up until he found the short problem on our truck, crawling around underneath the truck in the heat. View on GoogleI started having issues with my ETC light coming on and off and my car going into limp mode. I took it in to a couple different shops and they didn’t really seem interested in diagnosing the problem, only recommending expensive “maybe” repairs. I put it off until it got worse and then called Larry and he was able to diagnose 3 separate problems and do the repairs same day for a reasonable price. It was also very convenient that I didn’t have to leave my car at a shop all day waiting for some random tech to get around to figuring it out. It’s been a couple days and no problems so far, running great!
View on GoogleIn mid-December we hired Larry to diagnose and repair a battery issue. He replaced the alternator and battery and charged us $1,400, which already felt extremely overpriced—but we paid and trusted the repair. One month later the alternator was already failing. Another mechanic confirmed the tensioner was loose, which caused the alternator to degrade. This should have been checked during the original repair. When we contacted Larry about warranty coverage, his response was defensive and egotistical, and he acted offended that we even asked. He refused to honor the warranty. We had to go through another mechanic to get a replacement alternator from him. He delivered two alternators that didn’t work, and it took two weeks before we finally received a functioning warranty replacement. The final time Larry came out, he also brought a “used” alternator that we strongly believe was actually our original alternator—which still works fine. At this point, we believe we were scammed and that all we really needed from the beginning was a new battery and some TLC for the tensioner. Overall, this was expensive, stressful, and handled unprofessionally. We will never hire him again and do not recommend his services.

View on GoogleI’ve used Jones twice now and Larry has gotten my 25 year old Jeep back on the road. He’s extremely knowledgeable and reasonable in what he charges. Larry’s repair costs have been significantly less than the local repair shops and he does a great job. I highly recommend him and I will definitely call him again the next time my car has issues.
