Top Spec Auto

I have been going to Top Spec Auto for years for my general maintenance. A truly honest mechanic who will tell you exactly what is wrong, and what you need to do about it. They truly go over every inch of your car during inspections, for example, there are small things wrong with my truck which I chose not to fix and just put on the someday list. Basically something only I would know unless someone REALLY looked, and they actually caught it during inspection. I've trusted my 3 cars to Top Spec and they have never let me down!

Honest, fairly-priced, and super nice folks. The building is modest, and the signage is understated. Not only are you NOT paying for TV ads or any of that, you're not paying for an overly-fancy waiting room or anything else. They have services (and occasionally had to fix) our Toyota and Subaru many times over the years. Oil changes, preventive maintenance, milestone services, brakes, a couple little things like light bulbs and so on. Always done same day, always for a lower cost than other places quote. Very happy to have found my permanent mechanic.

Most fair shop I’ve ever been. Been going here for a hot second, but just recently they did an engine swap on my mr2 spyder. Absolutely stunning work, they’re always helping me get the car back on the road!

Update 06.11.26: I still go here. My wife does too. I have a Ford, she has a Volkswagen, and the Master Technician knows how to work on both competently. He is proficient at servicing all makes and models, so this is our one stop shop. We are really thankful to have Chris at Top Spec helping us keep our cars running well. Oscar at the front desk is a good guy as well. I like this shop. And no issues in the 3 weeks since repair. ——————————————————————- I found my shop! Recently moved up here from Socal with my 2014 GT500. I needed to replace my clutch, so I decided to conduct my research to find a place to take my car to. I ordered an OEM Clutch, Flywheel, and throwout bearing, then went on a quest by getting install quotes from Automotive Unlimited($1,500+), Evergreen Auto Repair($1,500+), M&N Absolute Auto Repair($1,900+), BJs Automotive ($1,900+), Conaway Motors($1,600+). I also went to Drive Auto Sports too, but they turned me away because they don’t work with customer supplied parts and only do aftermarket stuff. When I approached Top Spec, he was in the middle of something, but told me he would text me a quote for the install. Which he did, and it was more competitive than all the other shops at $1,291. I ended up adding a couple parts to the repair job(master cylinder, Shelby clutch reservoir, etc…) so the repair ended up costing a little more. But the initial quote was better than many other shops in the area!

They were very responsive with questions that I had. When I had the rear brakes replaced on my 2022 Subaru Outback they inspected the front breaks for free and honestly told me that they did not need replacing. Drop off and pick up was very easy. On top of all of that, they were more affordable than anywhere else I looked.
