I met Howard last March via an old coworker. He was very professional and fixed my car the same day. I needed the window motor replaced. He did a great job. After the first time, I called him back to do more work on both my cars, and this is when everything started to change. He would constantly come up with excuses as to why he didn't show up on the scheduled day, and make me panic as I had already paid for the parts and labor upfront. After constant messages, he would finally come and complete the job. I continued to give Howard the benefit of the doubt as he is very knowledgeable about cars, and I like supporting small businesses. I even had him recommended to my residents at my work to possibly help him obtain more business! I NOW REGRET DOING THIS! The last straw that has lead to me this review is his constant excuses and unreliability to show up for scheduled appointments! The last auto repair he did was done in a rush, delayed by a day due to him not showing up one day. He swears he got an alignment in my car, but my car still drives to the left, and has yet to provide me with copies of the receipts and proof of the alignment! STAY AWAY!!! FAR FAR AWAY!!!

Highly wouldn’t recommend, paid half up for a cam, lifters, valve swap, he didn’t show the first day, “hurt his back” then the second day “his car got towed” so he got here at 1:00pm stayed till 3:40, managed to disconnect the computer, the fan clutch, and Passenger side valve cover and rocker arms. Keep in mind I paid have upfront and the rest was due at completion. Never showed up the next day (thanksgiving which is cool) neither the following day, so I call found out he was arrested, so asked for a refund was stated very clearly no, then couple weeks go by, he gets out and I message again, and we agreed he was going to make it right and finish the job well comes to find out hes missed the last 3days again. Go figure right? So nope I highly and I press this enough don’t use them, highly unprofessional
View on GoogleI called HH Automotive , Howard was very nice & came out the next morning to check out my car. He determined the cause of my problem. Checked on getting the parts to repair , ordered them this on a was Sat. New Years Day the parts came in on Monday & he came out had my car up and running in about a hour! I would definitely recommend him.
View on GoogleHe did nothing but lie and steal my money. Ordered a part that cost 1800.00 dollars . I sent the money to him to get the part.. tells me he got it and put it in my car.. that was a lie, I called the dealership and the ECU is still there and not paid for. Howard Hinkley insisted that he did get it from the dealership. He has now changed his phone number and thinks he can avoid restitution. He can't over 3,000 law inforcement officials have been given this information thanks to the FTC .
View on GoogleStole several hundred dollars. Took the car apart and left it like that. Never called back for 2 weeks. Definition of a shade tree mechanic. Had to tow the car to a real mechanic where it took them half a day to fix what he messed up. Do not recommend.
