Tri State Automatic Transmission

We love this place so much and everyone that we have spoken with. They have always been honest and fairly priced with us. Great job and timely on our bus and we're working on the truck now. Absolutely love them.

Tim , Cody & Freddie excellence at its best . Honest more than fair in pricing & very knowledgeable of there trade. Our truck is a fairly newer model. Automatic transmission I believe I'm getting a mile or two more on MPG . If that is possible I know they didn't work on engine. But that is what I'm noticing. The only place we will go for transmission service ! They gave us a quote and honored it almost 2 months later and it ended up being less than what we were quoted as the maximum! I dropped my Tahoe off on Monday around 830 am and had it back Tuesday by 5pm!! They are quick, reliable and reasonably priced! I liked that the mechanic that rebuilt my transmission came out to tell me what all he found that required replacement with my transmission so I could tell my husband. We have always been hesitant about having others work on our vehicles but we trust the guys at Tri State!! When I dropped off my Tahoe, one of the employees asked me if I had a way home, and said if not he would take me... I had a ride waiting for me outside though. I have never had a shop offer to take me home!

I really appreciate Cody. I am from Houston and sent my truck there after my transmission went out in New Braunsfels. I took a chance on where to have it towed, but they were awesome in communicating with me and their service. They allowed me time to gather my funds without any extra charges or storage fees. Once I gave them the ok, my truck was done in 2 days and I was able to pick it up at my convenience. Definitely will/would use this company again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR HONESTY AND GRAY WORK.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I am compelled to make one now. I have a 91 Mustang with a leaking aod. I took it to tri-state and was told that it needed to be rebuilt. So I spent 35 hundred dollars and they rebuilt it. The day after getting the car back from tri-state it broke down. They had me bring it back for repairs. I did. They told me that they would fix it at no extra cost. When I picked up the car, I noticed a huge exhaust leak. I had had enough. I drove my beautiful Mustang home in tears, worried that they had cracked my bbk headers. They did. I had someone look at the car and was told that the drivers side header was crushed. I was referred to Spankys automotive and made an appointment. Once they assessed the issue, they reported that my header was crushed in, and the bolts to the transmission pan were finger tight. Yes, it was leaking like crazy and shifting poorly. I'm going to guess that they were too aggressive with the car when putting the trany back in the second time and damaged my header. Spankys agreed with that assessment. Thankfully, Spankys was able to repair the header. Long story short; I highly recommend Spankys in san Marcos and recommend keeping as far away from tri-state transmission in Seguin as possible. THANKS SPANKYS. I WILL BE BACK!
