I’ve had a great experience at this shop. Luis and Luz are great people and have made sure the services performed on my vehicles are always done right. They have also done a great job communicating the progress in an honest way, something that’s hard to find in some shops. Also the new front desk man Alonso was very friendly and helpful. Finally, their techs are also very professional and helpful whenever I’ve had questions about the work they perform. I recommend Affordable Car Care & Transmission 100%.

Brought my 2023 f150 in a few months back for a basic Trans flush, truck not only puked fluid from being overfilled the day after but was acting super erratic and shifts were funky plus overheating once. Started dealing with little leaks around tail housing, I brought my truck to them probably a total of 7 times driving 30 mins each time to get it resolved.. apparently they ordered new gaskets and after so many times of bringing my truck with no fix we were at the point of them taking it “apart’” to get to the real problem when in reality it was just overfilled and most likely flushed incorrectly instead of just pan drop and re fill with new filter🤦‍♂️ owner tells me with my truck on lift they don’t want to take a chance on messing it up further with me still having warranty, obviously my stupidity I should have just went to dealer that’s on me. Few days pass I get under it myself and check dipstick cause now it’s obviously underfilled which I kept stressing after the trans puked and constant small leaking at tail housing which they “apparently” changed gasket on it as well. I gave up after all this mess I brought a perfectly maintained truck in with 50,000 miles just to come out with issues! I know everyone is Human but talk about a bunch of empty promises and wasted money on both our parts. I have it filled to correct spot on dipstick truck has been phenomenal since, affordable is not always better and if you can still use warranty please do it!! I’m not one to bash anyone but I can’t believe I even went back as many times as I did, the fact that even one of the main techs that was assigned to my truck each time even agreed it came in with absolutely no damage, leaks, bad shifts.. nothing!! Things happen and it’s resolved but I’ll damn sure make sure a professional does it next time and it most likely ain’t gonna be a flush.

If you're reading reviews because you're trying to decide where to take your vehicle, I hope my experience helps. I have a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited X with about 180,000 miles on it. On April 14, 2026, I went to pick up a family member from work. I had been sitting in my Jeep for a few minutes with the engine off. When they got in, I started it back up and shifted into reverse, but the gear indicator started blinking. I put it back into park, and that started blinking too. A few seconds later, the check engine light came on. I had no idea what had happened. The only thing I had done that day was get an oil change. To make a long story short, I had three different mechanics look at it. The first said everything appeared fine, but they wanted to bring in an electrical technician to diagnose it for around $300, and then I'd still have to pay for whatever repairs were needed. The second shop told me they couldn't help me. The third shop, which was local, told me I needed a brand-new transmission that would cost close to $10,000. At that point, I was completely overwhelmed. This is my only dependable vehicle. I work basically full-time, and paying for Lyft and Uber every day was adding up fast. I was trying to figure out whether I should save up for the repair, buy another vehicle, or even take out a loan. I was actually getting ready to borrow the money, but something kept telling me not to. A few of my coworkers suggested I call a transmission specialist instead. I started researching shops around the Houston and Humble area, reading review after review, and eventually came across this business. From my very first conversation with the owner, I knew this was where I wanted to take my Jeep. He immediately explained his plan for diagnosing the problem instead of jumping straight to replacing the transmission. Throughout the entire process, he kept me updated, explained exactly what they found, and let me decide how I wanted to move forward. I never felt pressured or left in the dark. The best news? I didn't need a brand-new transmission after all. Most of my transmission components were still in great shape. One internal part had failed, so they performed a partial rebuild instead of replacing the entire transmission. That honest diagnosis saved me thousands of dollars. My Jeep honestly drives smoother now than it did before the repair. You can tell they take pride in their work and genuinely care about their customers and the vehicles they work on. It's now been two weeks since I picked it up, and everything has been running perfectly. The stress and uncertainty I had been carrying around for weeks are finally gone. If you're looking for a shop that puts customers first, communicates every step of the way, does honest and trustworthy work, and genuinely wants to help instead of selling you repairs you don't need, I cannot recommend them enough.
