National Tire & Automotive - a Main Street Auto shop

Absolute frauds. I paid these people over $2,000 to fix my electrical system. It took them over 2 weeks because the mechanic working on my vehicle went on vacation and never informed anyone else of his work. They also never informed me of an even bigger issue of a factory defect that renders this vehicle dangerous to drive. I have a 2007 Toyota Tacoma and it was having electrical problems where it would not start up when the engine was warm. I took it into National because these people have been working on my family's vehicles for decades. First red flag, it turns out the shop was sold to this big name company and they're now owned by someone entirely different. Lot of the people that worked on my family's vehicles don't work there anymore. Second red flag was not getting my vehicle back within a week and I had to call them up to get an answer. Turns out, they had no clue what was happening because one of their guys was on vacation. They seemed apologetic and would be having an "all hands meeting" later. I finally got my truck back and it worked well for a while. Roughly 6-9 months later, the transmission was starting to act funny as well with its shifting issues. So I took it to a dedicated Transmission shop down the road. Within 2 hours of me coming in, the transmission shop called me back. I came back and the first thing they said was that the wiring was wrong and someone had been messing around with it. Yeah, obviously... Then he averted my eyes to the side next to the transmission and the electrical harness. Just 1 foot away, there was a gaping rust hole in the side of my truck's undercarriage frame that you could fit a hand in. They told me that my model has been under a recall notice because of severe rust issues. Normally, I would have to go to Toyota and have the entire frame of my truck replaced or be given a new truck. The problem was that recall expired in 2019. The guy said he was glad he didn't put the truck on the side forks, because then the frame might crumple. He said he is unable to work on it and that he wouldn't charge me for the inspection or anything. Advice is to trade it in ASAP and get a new vehicle. So National wasted a month of my life due to pure incompetence and had me pay $2,000 to repair a vehicle that is in danger of literally falling apart. DO! NOT! GO! TO! NATIONAL! Check the photos tab and search for the rusted frame pictures under my name.

Thank yall for your hard work. These guys keep busy over there which tells me they have repeat customers which I will become as well. I brought in my RV which many places do not have a lift that size. Fair priced Kept me updated and were kind and professional any time I called. Good waiting room there as well if you need to stay.

Jerry and his crew were great! I needed tires, an alignment and an oil change on my high roof van. I called several shops in town but was told they weren’t sure they could accommodate the height of my vehicle. Jerry responded right away with a yes we can handle it, no problem. They had the tires I wanted in stock and could get to me the same day. Actually within the hour. The price and service were great and I will definitely be taking my business there again. I highly recommend them.

Excellent service from 4743 Clinton Highway location. I went in for a single tire replacement on my way from UTK back to MD. Because they were able to match my hometown tire prices and throw in some extras I had them replace all four tires on my bmw. They fought for the business and got me on the road for my 8hr drive without any issues. Good honest team deal with and I recommend them.
