Matlock tire saved our day again! This time it was a fishing outing with Project Healing Waters - we take veterans fly fishing. Early am departure stopped by a flat tire. Matlock is in the neighborhood, Saturday morning 7 am open for business. They fixed the tire promptly and affordably. We got back on the road and up to the mountains. A beautiful day with a great group of military veterans, made possible by Matlock Tire. Thanks Bo, Jimmy, ant the entire Matlock team.

I’ve been coming here for oil changes and general maintenance, and I honestly couldn’t ask for a better experience. Every visit, they run diagnostics, send clear photos of what they’re seeing, and actually talk things through with me before doing anything. What really stands out is how honest they are. They clearly separate what truly needs to be done from what’s optional, and I’ve never once felt pressured or upsold. If something can wait, they say so. It’s obvious they’re not trying to take advantage of customers — if anything, they’re trying to save you money while keeping the car in good shape. Communication is excellent. They get in touch quickly after drop-off, explain the plan, give realistic timelines, and then follow through. The work is always done promptly and as discussed. I also appreciate that everything is tracked online and shows up on CARFAX with full details. Overall: honest, professional, reasonably priced, and extremely well organized. Solid, dependable service with great communication — exactly what you want in a car shop. Highly recommended.

We had gone to a different location yesterday before heading out on a long road trip today. We had a strong vibration when driving above 65. We stopped into the LC location and they were quite busy, so Jimmy called ahead to Athens since we were headed South and they fixed us up! So nice and so accommodating! We were back on the road in less than an hour. The drive was great! I can't say enough good things about Matlock! Thank you so much!

These guys are completely honest with you. I went in to get an alignment because the front driver-side tire was half bald, and I thought the alignment was off. However, they checked everything and told me I actually didn’t need an alignment at all. They explained that the wear was caused by using 4WD during the winter, and it turns out they were right. Instead of charging me anything, they didn’t take any payment at all. I was even expecting to pay at least $30 just for using their equipment, but they just told me I could go on with my day. They did recommend that I replace the bald tire as soon as possible, which makes sense. I would definitely recommend these guys because they do great work and are very honest. I also get my oil changes done here when I can. If I could give them 10 stars, I would—awesome people.
