If you want to decide if you want a cheap fix or a safe vehicle, PSK doesn't care. Mike is an extremely caring .technician. I'm not one to use a repair center like PSk, however, the professionalism, expertise and value you get at PSK is second to none. I highly recommend giving PSK a chance. View on GoogleI had my Acura services at the Street run location for timing belt service. Was told all parts are OEM, well I learned the hard way. Timing tensioner failed @ 41k miles (OEM it's supposed to last 7 years or 100,000. Turns out the tensioner and belt were NOT OEM neither was the belt. (Belt = Continental brand) (Time belt Tensioner = SKP stamp on side) So out of curiosity I decided to look up cost on these parts. SKP timing belt tensioner = $21.79 Continental Timing belt = $27.79 FVP Water pump = $38.79 stationary pulley and tensioner pulley had no markings (typically there's lasered imprint just above the inner race) When I ordered the actual OEM timing kit from Honda the cost was $464 for complete kit. I wanted to believe that maybe somehow this was just a fluke thinking okay Continental some what has a good name maybe Honda didn't have the belt in stock. But when everything else had some off brand name on it. I knew PSK was cutting corners. I'm sorry but do better. This is probably why the Streets run road locations out of business. THIS IS WHY CUSTOMERS BRING THEIR OWN PARTS. I can only imagine if that belt would have jumped a tooth on my interference engine it would have cost me $7k plus to have it replaced. If you're not going to put the OEM parts you say you're going to put in then let the customer know.
View on GoogleI got an APR tune back when PSK Performance was still around for my VW Golf back in 2019 and then decided to step down to 87 octane from 93 octane for the tune so I went back to get retuned. The quotes I got from other APR authorized dealers were ludicrous expensive for a 15min job so I drove back to PSK Auto Repair to get retuned all the way from Maryland (3.5hr drive). Booked the appointment 2 weeks out and showed up on time. Got in, got tuned, and left on time before getting caught up in rush hour traffic. Courteous service, chill atmosphere, and a very reasonably priced invoice for the job performed. Not many honest mechanics around but this shop has one!
