I've been coming here my entire driving life-but this week has been the cherry on top of their service. This talented group of mechanics genuinely care about their customers, cars, and their customers lives. Highly recommended-for whatever vehicle you have!
View on GoogleI was visiting from out of state and ended up hitting a guard rail on my way down. My car was still drivable, but the front fender was bent enough that it was preventing my driver door from opening more than a couple inches. A friend recommended Lament's Auto Services so I took it in and dropped it off in the morning. I spoke with Brian who was very personable and friendly. I explained the situation, and I know they're not a body shop, but I just wanted it reshaped enough so I could use my door again. He said they could get to it that afternoon. I also mentioned an issue with a check engine light that I've had for a while that my garage back home has been unable to resolve for over a month and he said he'd take a look at that, too. I got a call back later that afternoon that my car was ready. When I got there, Brian took the time to talk about what was done, what was checked, and the possible reasons for my check engine light. He mentioned that a software update at the dealership may fix my issue since he saw no possible causes mechanically, and explained how parameters may change for a car over time, which is more info than I got from my local place. Overall, I was very pleased with the knowledge and detail he provided, and the work that was done to fix my fender was excellent! I knew it wasn't going to be like new, but they did a fantastic job bending it back into shape. The turn around was quick and the price was very reasonable. If I ever have any more car issues while I'm visiting I'll definitely bring my car here again.
View on GoogleWhen my A/C went out diagnostics recommended a compressor replacement. Brian and the team saved me thousands by identifying and replacing a bad sensor. A/C is working perfectly now and we will make Lament's our car care destination going forward!
View on GoogleLament taught me almost everything I know as a mechanic. Thanks to him I have had a very successful career. I was very close to giving up fixing cars when I started working there. I have met some really terrible mechanics in my 19 years as a tech, and as a service manager. Lament is top notch! If I lived in Wayne I would bring my car here. Brian was an excellent mechanic years ago and I imagine he has only become the best. Definitely trust these guys with your car! They are honest and just good human beings!!
