Ross Auto Repair

I went here to get my AC Compressor fixed. I came in with the advice that this is what I needed fixed, however like any reasonable person I let them look at it for a second opinion. Ross auto agreed it was the compressor. After quoting and following through with payments everything seemed to be going smoothly. Not to mention very costly but no problem as long as my problem could be fixed. I left my car and came back later that day to what seemed to be a working AC. Not even a day later, the AC goes out and is blowing hot air out. I call, I follow up and come back in. Ross Auto insisted it was just a simple fix for my valves to be replaced. I trust them, they fix it I leave again same day. AGAIN not even a day later, hot air blows out of my vent, no AC. I call, I bring it back for now the third time. Ross Auto insists that now it is because of the AC Compressor being defective. Also keep in mind this is not a part I brought in this is what they supplied for my car. I for one do not understand how they could have missed that the first time as they were the ones who installed the defective compressor, however they ordered the new part. I dropped my car around 10 AM and asked that if it will take longer and I won’t be able to leave by 2 PM that I could stop by the next day. They insist it won’t take long I’ll have enough time to leave on time. 2 PM comes around I check in still being respectful, patient and trusting and they tell me a couple more minutes. 2:15 PM comes and I ask again, as now I’m running late for work. They insist 15 more minutes because they are charging. I wait longer. 20 minutes past and they pull my car up and explain that I need a new part. I ask why they said while charging the system, my tube popped from pressure and that it will be an additional 300, keep in mind I previously paid 1.3k. I could understand if I was going a cheaper route but I put the money out the first time trusting my issues would be gone and after my third visit for the same issue to find out that there is another thing that is wrong that happened at the hands of their mechanic, still patient I asked if there’s any way this could’ve been avoided. She said that if I got this last thing it should work. I question why should I trust to put more money into this shop when this isn’t third time here for the same thing ? She told me how the valves got replaced the second time and that it wasn’t all for the same thing and I questioned how the valves would have made my AC work if the compressor they put in was “defective”. My problem is that every time I have brought my car is they have found something different in connection with what I originally needed fixed. If I was looking for a back and forth between trying to get my car fixed I would have went elsewhere. I’m not understanding how their mechanics weren’t able to identify what was wrong to begin with, starting with the faulty compressor they put in. So now I am out of my money with my problem not fixed and my AC tube now popped. Very inconvenient to leave with less than I came with and still have paid a bill for it. Would not recommend here unless you want to hear an excuse as to why something is not fixed the first time from “professionals”. I believe that I am not a mechanic and understand that a defective compressor would not mean to fix my valves the second time around. It shouldn’t take the third visit and for something else to go wrong under their care to realize. I’m very dissatisfied.

I might be bias with my review; but here goes nothing. I'm the do it yourself kind of person. I love fixing things, I have trust issues with someone else fixing my vehicle and not doing a good job; not to mention labor prices. Though I've only gotten an alignment. Customer service helped me leave this review. I didn't get the lady's name but very nice I think blonde lady. The service I got done to my vehicle very reasonably priced compared to surrounding competitors as well as good turn around time and decent service. You can't ask for more "Reasonable price" ( even heard them disconnected some services for other asking customers "good customer service" and good service" with decent turn around time depending on what you came for I'm sure overall very happy with my service greatful to have had the opportunity to sit around and wait for my vehicle and hear the good service is extended to every customer I saw walk through the door for about 3 hours. Would highly recommend.

My mechanic for over 5 years . Honest and good service. They do it all,, Inspections, engine and transmission, and general mechanical work. I Highly recommend them.
