The best repair facility in Philadelphia!! Ronnie is knowledgeable and honest everytime I go. and explains everything so I can understand what the are fixing Joe (the owner) is super friendly. I enjoy talking to him while I wait I never have to worry about getting the car fixed correctly. Awesome experience. Thanks guys!

When people ask us for a mechanic and we say “I know a guy,” this is who we mean.

View on GoogleAfter a few not-so-great experiences with a chain shop, 1st Rate Auto was recommended to me by a friend. I took my car in for an oil change and a suspected exhaust leak, as well as a question about a potential transmission issue. Ronnie, the gentleman at the front, talked through my points of concern, and his conservative recommendations helped me feel confident that the shop wouldn't be trying to upsell unnecessary work. After dropping the car off mid-afternoon, Ronnie called early the next morning to discuss their findings and even sent pictures of the problem areas, which I really appreciated. Less than 24 hours after drop-off my car was repaired and ready for pickup, and their prices were very reasonable. My 15 year old car is now running great, and I'll be back to 1st Rate Auto for any other maintenance. Can't recommend them enough!

I will admit- when I went in to get my car inspected, I also had a few other “issues” going on that were the definition of “I’m just a girl” that I had been putting off. Ron helped me with my registration and also went completely above and beyond in fixing my damaged side view mirror for me. The process was so quick and easy and even though they had 5 other customers waiting, I still was in and out in under 20 minutes! I had left and it wasn’t even until I was 5 blocks away that I realized how kind the mechanics were in not only fixing the mirror as best they could for my safety, but not even mentioning they did it! Just a pleasant experience all around for one of life’s admin duties that usually is tedious. 1st Rate Auto has a customer in me for as long as I’m driving! Thank you Ron and Team!
