We had a positive first experience with Pinnacle. They handled our hybrid car's first annual inspection well. We were in and out of their shop in less than 2 hours with our sticker and a detailed report of services performed.The price was reasonable and they didn't try to upsell us. This is a drop off and pick up car repair place. We didn't see a place to hang out and wait while your car is serviced. Don't be put off by the shop's no-frills exterior. The mechanics and other stuff are friendly and know their stuff.

My partner took her car here for a routine emissions inspection. The guy told her there was a huge issue with our cars suspension - specifically a leaking strut - and the repairs would be easily over $1k. Naturally, we decided to get a more thorough second opinion at a dealership. They found that there were no issues, no leaks, nothing that would cause the vehicle to fail inspection. Our car passed inspection the next day. It’s clear this place tried to take advantage of her. We’re never coming back here, and would encourage you to avoid it too. This place spends more time responding to reviews on Google than doing honest work.

DONT TRUST PINNACLE…PLEASE READ. Took my car in for my PA inspection. Pinnacle tells me I failed inspection and I need rear brake pads and rotors and pressed to do the replacement. I declined as the brake pads and rotors were within PA approval standards with room to spare. I KNOW this as I have an inspection report from my dealership from 1 month ago that they completed when my car was in for unrelated electrical work (so they would have noted other issues that they could have fixed!). They had my rear pads rated at 6mm and my rotors were fine….suddenly a month later my brake pads are at 2mm and my rotors need to be replaced. For clarification, even with aggressive driving 1mm of brake pad depth takes about 3k miles….i sure didn’t drive 12k miles in a month!. UPDATE 5/5. (1 week after Pinnacle visit) Took my car back to dealership based on failed inspection. Didn’t tell them the car failed. Just told them to please take a look at my pads and rotors, replace if needed. Quote from dealer “no need to replace, pads are between 5mm and 6mm. Rotors are fine.”. And they sent me a picture of the standard tool to measure brake pad depth measuring 5-6mm!

I would not recommend this shop. I took my car in for inspection and was told it failed because of a long list of problems that would cost almost $3,000 to fix. The amount of repairs seemed suspicious, so I took the car somewhere else for a second opinion. The second mechanic told me that several of the issues were not as serious as I was told, and some repairs were not needed at all. It felt like this shop was trying to charge me for work that didn’t need to be done. If your car fails inspection here, I suggest getting a second opinion before spending thousands of dollars. Very disappointing experience.

Pinnacle charged $984 for a battery replacement on a 2016 Range Rover Sport without given notice of the price before doing the work. This is an enormous uncharge and considerably more than what a Land Rover dealer or any independent shop would typically charge for this sort of job. An OEM battery from Land Rover, retail price is $394. They charged $631 for this (just for the battery). The shop is taking advance and made no effort to offer a resolution. I would not recommend taking your car to the shop and am very disappointed with their service.
