View on GoogleOn the small number of occasions when I have had done work at this shop, it has been done well, and in a timely manner. HOWEVER, I recently called to have a potential end-of-life check done on my car, and I was told it would be done, I wouldn't be charged, and I authorized no further work. The specific check I requested was simply for someone to drive my car up the street, and let me know the origin of the noise it was making. *NO FURTHER WORK WAS AUTHORUZED.* I ended up being charged for both the check, and light replacements that I hadn't authorized, which totaled out to almost 200 dollars. This is behavior I'd expect from a shop being run out of someone's garage, and not an established shop where I've brought my car for service on multiple occasions. I am now almost 200 dollars further away from being able to pay for the repairs, and this might clinch my decision to get rid of my car, which is absolutely disastrous for my life. Shame on you. Also, in response to what they said below; THE ONLY THING I ASKED THEM TO DO WAS DRIVE THE CAR AND SEE IF IT WAS MY TRANSMISSION OR WHEEL BEARING WERE CAUSING THE NOISE. No comprehensive diagnostic was asked for, AND I WAS TOLD, SPECIFICALLY, THEY WOULDNT CHARGE, I JUST NEEDED TO LEAVE THE CAR OVERNIGHT. Instead, they took apart part of my car, and replaced two of my lights, because "I thought I was helping you out." This guy is a lying scammer and I'm going to go dispute the CC charges now that I have this conversation. Why in the world would I ask for a 100 plus dollar diagnostic and EXPENSIVE LIGHT REPLACEMENT on a car I might have to get rid of? Particularly one that I replace the lights on, personally. His story doesnt make sense.

View on GoogleHave had several different cars inspected and serviced here. I’m a ‘car guy’ and do most maintenance and a lot of repairs myself. But I know some stuff requires a pro. I have left a few auto shops in KoP over the years after recognizing shoddy work or trying to sell me stuff I don’t need. Been using Boro-line for several years now and haven’t had either problem. Boroline is a very good local shop which has been trustworthy in my experience. Would recommend.
