I had an excellent experience with Matt, the owner of MAR Auto in Downingtown. His communication was outstanding from start to finish. He clearly explained exactly what was wrong with my Acura's struts and never once tried to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. Instead, he walked me through the issue, gave me multiple repair options, and explained the pricing for each so I could make an informed decision. While Matt works on a wide variety of vehicles, he has extensive experience with Acuras, and his expertise really showed. He was knowledgeable, honest, kind, and incredibly easy to work with throughout the entire process. It's refreshing to find a mechanic you can genuinely trust. After this experience, I'll be bringing all of my future automotive business to MAR Auto. If you're looking for an honest, skilled mechanic who takes the time to explain your options without any pressure, I highly recommend Matt and the team at MAR Auto.

I can’t recommend Matt highly enough. I was honestly really nervous about taking my car to a new mechanic because I’ve had some bad experiences in the past, but he completely changed my perspective. From the start, Matt was honest, transparent, and took the time to explain exactly what was wrong with my car and what needed to be repaired. I never felt pressured into unnecessary work, and he kept me informed throughout the process. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely values integrity over making a quick sale. The quality of his work was excellent, and my car is running great. You can tell he takes pride in doing the job right, and his attention to detail really shows. Matt did a great job at clearly communicating the accurate details of the necessary repairs for my two cars. He shared a few images with details that helped me understand the same. I have got new breaks and rotors for one of the cars and a state inspection for another car.

Matt and the team at MAR are the only ones I’ll let touch our company vehicles. It’s hard to find a mechanic you can trust. He does amazing service with a great turnaround time at a fair price!

I found Matt from MAR Auto Repair through Facebook when he reached out on a post of mine inquiring about a Pre-Purchase Inspection for a car I was looking at. Matt was super flexible for scheduling and was able to fit me in on the same day. Although Matt is a newer, independent mechanic, he told me he had numerous years of experience working at a Honda/Acura dealership, which was evident in his expertise. His prices were also drastically better than what you would pay at a dealership. I was quoted $250 for a PPI at a different independent mechanic (and even more from a dealership who didn't have availability for 2 weeks.) I paid $100 out the door for a thorough inspection where Matt walked me around the car, ran engine codes, inspected the tires, rust, radiator, and more, answering any questions I had as we went. I have absolutely zero hesitation recommending anyone to Matt for his services. His honesty was completely validated when a customer picked up their car and mentioned a separate noise they had been hearing in their car when they turned the heat to high. Without skipping a beat, Matt listened to the noise and immediately diagnosed and fixed an incorrectly installed cabin air filter, free of charge, all within the span of approximately 30 seconds. When I asked how much that would've costed at a dealership, he told me, "The job code for that fix at a dealership would've been around $60." After seeing that interaction, I had full faith in not only Matt's diagnostic abilities, but his honesty with customers and fairness with pricing. Matt himself was personable and easy to talk to, and would willingly answer any questions I had, fully explaining different parts and systems within the car and how they work. Even though I had Matt inspect a Toyota, not a Honda, I was fully confident in his analysis and inspection and ended up buying the car. I cannot recommend Matt enough, if you are hesitant to give MAR a shot because it is a newer company, don't be. Matt will get the job done fast, accurately, and at a competitive price.
