BJ's Wholesale Club

I prefer to submit good reviews and try not to focus on my not so good experiences. I had hoped to submit my experience directly to the BJ's website, but could not locate a way to do this. We shopped today, Wednesday, 4/1/2026, at 2 PM. We walked into the store to use the restrooms first. The ladies room had one stall unusable; the 2nd stall had minimal toilet paper, and there was no soap available in either dispenser. I walked to the front desk to let them know that they their restrooms needed some attention. I was told by the representative behind the desk that she was on her lunch break and would address it when she returned. I further expressed that it may be advantageous to let someone else know ~ as I felt that timeline was going to put a customer in need. We then noticed that there were no shopping carts available in the store, in the entry corridor, or in the shopping coral directly outside the door. We were told that there was no one available to retrieve the carts as they were short handed. Therefore, all customers had to walk back into the parking lot for a cart. Given the time of day we shopped, we are assuming that the carts had not been replenished from the night before. While shopping in the clothing area, I was informed that the inventory robot was there only to spy in the employees ~ this information was not shared by another customer. It seemed that there was a breakdown in the operations of this BJ's store today and that some of the employees were frustrated. I understand that this can occur, but care should be taken to handle this without customer impact. Please note that this was not across all employees ~ but significant enough for my review. Although we have some favorite items that we purchase at BJ's and we do find the prices competitive, we have been looking elsewhere lately and will consider if renewal of my membership makes sense.

Maybe take a timeout away from this location. We arrived ~2:00pm on a wed, as we are retired and can stay away from crowds. We headed to the bathrooms, and my GF was appalled by the state of the women's bathroom. She wanted to let the staff know that it needed attention right away, so we went to the service counter and informed a staff member....who just said, "I'm on break, I will tell someone when I am done." My GF tried t explain that waiting might put someone in distress, but she was met with rolled eyes. We then went to get our cart, but saw that there were none in the store. None at all. We went to the 'receipt-checker-person' at the front door, and she let us know that they did not have anyone to bring the carts in and we would have to go outside to the cart corral to get one. Now this was a Wednesday afternoon, so we are thinking they were left out all night. I did manage to get 4 carts in for some folks. Either they were short-handed for the day, or there was a mutiny going on. Regardless, with prices going up everywhere and the larger discount chains nudging towards pricing parity, we are finding this BJs location to be less appealing than they once were.

I have been trying to get my coupons to clip for at least Month. I am not the only one. I have called all the numbers the girls have given me. But still not working. I ASK YOU if Iam not the only one having an issue maybe it a main office problem. But no one seems to want to hear that!!!! Again went to the store to get help the line had more people like me. I had this younger girl cut me off and said call this number.

The prices here can be significantly higher than other places. For instance a jar of coconut oil is 12.99 in Rotterdam NY is over 20.00 here. Be cautious.

Visited the tire center on Saturday for a tire rotation. Sam and Shep, in the department, were very customer oriented individuals that were outstanding to help me with a tire replacement. I have purchased 4-5 sets of tires in the past from BJ’s and will definitely return to this location for the customer service. Much appreciated, job well done!
