Action Lube

If I could give this place zero and I mean zero stars I would. They are a bunch of scam artist. My father in law had a bunch of work done to his car and a majority of the parts are under warranty. We brought our vehicle for a evap leak test and at a actual mechanic shop and they ran a diagnosis test before running the evap leak test, which they then stated everything that was physically wrong with the car that would fail the inspection in the state of NY! Action lube a year ago replaced the exhaust because it was going bad and it was under warranty and they also did the inspection which was going to “fail” because of the control arms but we were told when we asked about the sub frame that the sub frame was good and had plenty of life left to it. They then said we had time to get the control arms replaced and they passed the inspection. To find out a week ago, the subframe is so rotted that the mechanics finger went through it and I asked them to check the control arms since action lube said they were bad a years ago and today, but the certified shop said the control arms are good and have roughly 2-3 years before we should look into getting them replaced. Action lube a year ago passed the inspection after replacing the exhaust that was warrantied, and not even 3 weeks later the check engine light came on for the catalytic converter, and a bunch of evap leaks. We had brought it there today because they said we could get it replaced because it’s still under warranty, but I got a phone call from them saying they were done for the day and they had not replaced the converter because they are not sure if the codes are faulty? So again, the certified shop we went to specifically stated the catalytic converter is faulty, it’s not running the way it should which should 100% qualify us for it to get fixed under warranty. The lady continued at action lube that we had to put high grade gas into our vehicle that is made for either regular or mid grade which mid grade isn’t recommended to be used for our make of vehicle but can be used if wanted, and that we’d have to drive the vehicle for 7,500 miles with high octane gas for them to know the codes aren’t faulty? Makes no sense. It’s just a way of scamming people out of money. The photo below is of what is wrong with the vehicle and what needs to be done in order for the car to pass inspection. Action lube, you people are wrong for trying to scam people out of more money. Also, restaurants should not have animals in them running around when you serve food.

They were a life saver, muffler broke on way back to NYC, they fixed it within an hour. My wife and I had fountain drinks while we waited, the decor of the restaurant looked like happy days. The people were so friendly and the price was reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Headlight bulbs changed in 15 min! Fair price and they were able to get me in the day after I called. Will be using them again for future car maintenance issues.

What an amazing family run business. I felt like I was home with my family. Being from Louisiana and homesick, it was lovely to have such a great experience. My car was ready very quickly and at a great price! Thank You. I highly recommend them.

I’ve been looking for a place that will change my oil without drama, and it looks like I found it. So easy to deal with. And what a bonus to be able to get really awesome food while I wait. This just made my life a lot easier.
