At Bical Chevrolet, the parts representative Mike refused to provide the part number for my brake pads and said it’s because customers might look it up online and find it cheaper. He quoted me $220 for ACDelco Gold pads, but I found the same part for about $124. When I questioned the difference, he responded, “this is why we don’t give out part numbers.” Mike also told me I “wouldn’t know” what parts were installed until after the job was completed. At the time of payment, I had to question the pricing again to have it corrected, and Mike said I was “making a big deal over the price.” This approach limits a customer’s ability to compare prices or verify what parts are being installed, and puts the customer in a position where they have to rely on the dealership without transparency. I recommend verifying everything before agreeing to any service.

I was at the dealership from 8AM-3:30PM for a repair that took approximately 2-3 hours. Although the customer rep was pleasant, I found there could have been better communication and urgency between him and Performance First regarding approval for repairs utilizing my warranty. I was provided with the diagnostic review and plan of action within an hour of my arrival which was great. I was also told that the parts needed for repair were available. I provided my Performance First contract number to see if the repair would fall under the warranty and my satisfaction went down from there. I had to check in with the customer rep about the work status on my vehicle which was not started because he was waiting on communication from Performance First. That was approximately 11:30AM which is right about the time when staff starts taking lunch. It would have been appreciated when given the plan of action if I was also given the option of starting the work without authorization from Performance First and notified that I would have to pay out of pocket. It was communicated later as if I would not be reimbursed if I was willing to pay for the repair. However, upon reviewing the warranty contract there is a reimbursement clause. Upon contacting Performance First when I finally spoke to a live person, I was informed that I could submit my paid bill. I had I have had previous work done this year and I find it strange that Chevy sold this warranty to me when I changed from a lease to purchasing my vehicle and they have horrible communication with vendors of products they are utilizing. I should not have been at the dealership for practically a work day waiting on a response. Furthermore, since I also work in customer service I am under the expectation that more follow up and information could have been provided by the customer rep. Unfortunately, he did not seem too familiar with the Performance First's policies and timeframes which added to my disappointment with this visit. After leaving the dealership on October 29th, I placed a call to Performance First and was informed that I had a claim but was not provided a claim number and forwarded to the voicemail of the adjuster. Upon further follow up on October 30th, I was informed that the claim was authorized and approved and I can submit my repair bill for reimbursement. I was also with the claim number and contact information. To date, I have not received a phone call from Performance First. If Chevy is selling these services from vendors they need to hold them to account because this particular vendor caused this customer unnecessary distress. On another note, although the repair serviceman cleared the DTC this is the second emissions service notification I received on my vehicle within a 2 month period. I brought in my vehicle in August and was advised to have an emissions service cleaning which was done but was advised again on October 29th to have the same service done. I only have my vehicle serviced by Chevy so it bothered me that previous services do not come up so I am not billed for unnecessary services. My services are sent to CarFax so how come your repair facility does not see what CarFax gets. Just saying. Please have everyone communicate better. Thanks.

I called to see if I could get my car inspected same day. I was told to come before 10:00. I came and was able to get my car inspected without having a long wait. My car passed so I was happy about that.

good service once parts came in. Not great at communication. Sometime didn't promptly return my calls. Not too efficient with following up with warranty company for approval. Otherwise, were very good diagnosing a difficult problem and they fixed the problem correctly.

I went in for an oil change on the morning of 2/7/25. It was completed within ninety (90) minutes, which is great! However, inside the cabin, I have a radar detector mounted to and tapped through the rear view mirror. Alongside, I have a dash cam which is hardwired to the fuse box. Five minutes after I’ve pulled out of Bical, my radar detector begins to shift (after resting securely for the previous thirteen (13) months. Shortly thereafter, the dash-cam goes out, though I’ve just returned home. By week’s end, the detector swung wildly side-to-side as I entered every turn and the dash-cam was rendered inoperable. Valentines morning, I wound up going back to “Avenue Sound” in Freeport, having to spend +$50 to have both professionally serviced. Thanks Bical (not). Thanks “Avenue Sound” (YES!)
