Costco Tire Service Center

I wish that I could give 0 stars. This was genuinely one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE GETTING SUCKED INTO THIS. I had a 4:30 PM appointment TWICE, and both times my car was not even taken into the shop until approximately 6:30 PM. I spent well over 8 hours total sitting at this Costco across two separate appointments for what should have been a routine tire installation. During the first appointment, the technicians sheared off one of the wheel studs on my vehicle during the installation process. Instead of taking responsibility or offering any meaningful assistance, I was simply told that I needed to personally take the car to a mechanic and pay to have it repaired myself. Not to mention that, at that point, I would have been driving on 4 studs instead of 5, which is obviously unsafe. They also claimed there was a similar issue with the wheel on the other side and essentially said they did not want to break that stud as well, advising me to have it inspected. Despite already having been there for nearly 4 hours at that point, I calmly took the vehicle to my mechanic, paid out of pocket to replace the broken stud, and had all four wheels inspected. I personally watched as the mechanic removed all four wheels, including the wheel Costco claimed also had stud issues, and confirmed there were absolutely no problems with any of the remaining studs. I then returned to Costco for my second 4:30 PM appointment so they could finally install the 4th tire, only to once again wait until approximately 6:00 PM before they even looked at the vehicle. At that point, they AGAIN refused to install the tire because they “didn’t want to break the stud.” The overall attitude from the employees throughout this process was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Nobody offered solutions, accountability, or even basic customer service. I paid OVER $1,000 for tires and was left dealing with vehicle damage, mechanic bills, wasted time, and an incomplete installation. To make matters worse, I then went to a simple local tire shop and, within approximately 8 minutes, they removed the wheel, mounted the new tire, balanced it, and reinstalled it without a single issue or unnecessary wait. It became very clear that the crew here either does not know what they are doing or is severely lacking proper training and/or equipment. Absolutely unacceptable experience.

Always good service as long as you make an appointment. Yes, appointments suck and you gotta sometimes wait a few hours after drop off but it guarantees that your car will be worked on that day. These guys are always busy but still do a great job. Over the years have had several 3 full tire install/replacement and also one full tpms replacement. Also had some tire patches done. No complaints here,

Great tire prices and a smooth online ordering process, but the Tire Center operations are a mess. I had a 2:30 PM appointment and arrived on time. I was told it would take about two hours — fine. But at 4:30 PM, my car hadn’t even been taken in yet. No apology, no urgency, no accountability. I didn’t get my car back until 6:30 PM — four hours for a scheduled tire install. Appointments should mean something. If this is a staffing issue, it needs to be fixed. Based on other reviews, this doesn’t seem like an isolated problem. Corporate should take notice.

I had an exceptional experience at the Costco Tire Center thanks to Jason. He went far above and beyond what I ever expected — he was incredibly kind, patient, and professional, and took the time to make sure everything was handled properly and that I understood what was going on. What could have been a very stressful situation was completely transformed by his calm, thoughtful approach and genuine care. People like Jason are rare, and Costco is fortunate to have him there.

Terrible service, expect to waste your time. If you’re thinking about using the Costco Tire Center, don’t. Be prepared to stand around forever and deal with staff who act like helping customers is an inconvenience. The only realistic way to contact them is by phone, and that’s a joke. Calls go unanswered, or they pick up and leave you waiting until you give up. In person isn’t any better: there’s a long line at a one-person counter, and once you finally reach it, you’re met with zero urgency and zero customer service. Maybe they know how to install tires, but the overall experience is so disorganized and unhelpful that it’s not worth it. Saving a couple hundred dollars sounds good—until you spend hours of your life chasing basic service and walking away frustrated. I won’t be going back (got my payment refunded), and I don’t recommend it to anyone.
