Hello, my name is lucas. i previously went to a different shop which gave me plenty of issues, i then searched around and found smithtown transmissions, firstly, amazing customer service, from the minute i walked in it was very welcoming; not only was the place pretty welcoming but the staff too, they’re were above and beyond supportive, helpful and friendly. they were also not afraid to tell the truth, even though the truth did hurt in my situation it’s better than a comforting lie. i listened to their advice and in under 3-4 days after transmission did arrive and they were able to work on it, fixed with 1 issue, here’s the great part, fixed the 1 issue in under maybe 10 mins and fixed and driving home in 20. amazing work. recommended highly to anybody that owns any type of car. they will fix it and you’ll have a smile, and you will finally trust giving ur car out to a place if you do decide on going here. thank you again 🙌

I had my 2018 Ford Transit at the Ford dealer for transmission issues, I bought a Ford continued warranty plan 2 years ago. After diagnosis that it needed a new transmission they said they don’t cover commercial vehicles. I told them when I purchased the extended warranty. That it was a service van for my business. Contract was in my business name, they said sorry can’t help you. Ford wanted $8k to replace it. I took it to Smithtown Transmission they rebuilt it in 3 days and saved me $3k. I would recommend them anytime. Great people. Thank you so much.

Stopped in here while working on a transmission tail shaft rebuild, hoping to find a few specific seals and O-rings. Even though it wasn’t a big job, the team took the time to check their inventory and were able to track down several of the parts I needed, which was a huge help. What really stood out was how helpful and knowledgeable they were. The owner spent a few minutes walking me through some tips and common issues with the transmission I’m working on, which I genuinely appreciated. You don’t always get that level of service, especially for smaller requests. Really good people—would definitely recommend and will be coming back if I need anything else.
