Service Center - Chevrolet of Smithtown

I brought my truck in for a repair and some recalls to be fixed. When I came to pick it up, there was a bad scratch on the driver side door. The service manager I was dealing with had left already, so I brought it up to the general manager of the service department and she immediately tried to pass the blame, and did not take accountability, she said it wasn’t clear from the pictures they took before hand if the scratch was already there or not (it was 100% not there before dropping it off there) and said she’d have to check the cameras because there’s no way it was their fault. Her whole attitude was very flippant and dismissive. Spoke to another guy who was a manager and he treated me the same way. However, the service manager who had been helping me the whole time, Stephen, was awesome. He called me immediately the next day to address it and took accountability saying he knew for a fact the scratch wasn’t there when I had dropped it off, even though he obviously didn’t do it himself, but understood that clearly they were responsible for the damage as it happened while they were in possession of my truck. He took it upon himself to remedy the situation, call their auto body shop and set up a time to fix the situation. He’s the only reason this isn’t a 1 star review. He was fantastic and showed true professionalism, unlike the 2 in upper management that I spoke with.

Everything from setting up the appointment to giving me updates on the status of our truck was nothing short of exceptional. Kathy was our service advisor and she was so empathetic, knowledgeable and very sweet. The whole staff was very sweet and kind. Recommend this service department 100%

My wait appointment for my 2024 Equinox EV annual 15,000 mile service was handled promptly and completed as promised. I cannot say enough great things about Smithtown Chevy, highly recommended. The service writer Jason P was very helpful and professional. My entire experience was excellent right up to the cashier Patti. As always, it's great to see Enzo too.

Picked up a 2020 Traverse, got a good price Joe C in Sales was great, Donna in Finance was great. They took care of everything. Well definitely do business again and do recommend.

Glad they worked with me to reduce my bill. But not loving the 3% upcharge on credit card transactions. It's BS!
