I originally went to Monroe Auto because they were conveniently located near my home and were able to get my vehicle in relatively quickly. Unfortunately, that convenience did not translate into a good overall experience. After looking at my vehicle, I was told the repair either could not be done the way I needed or would cost over $750, and I was also told I would still be waiting more than a week. I ended up going with Jake's who told me my issue was when they see a lot they literally do the repair of half dozen times a week or more, ended up totaling $275, with the work and it was completed in less than 5 hours. Based on my experience, the quote I received from Monroe felt excessive and unreasonable compared to the actual repair that was done. I understand shops can price things differently, but this was far enough apart that it left me with a very negative impression. Moral of the story: Get a second quote!

I go to monro for all my car needs.. They are amazing to me. The guys are honest and they care about your safety. They are fast and always call me to discuss my repair options. I send my children there and trust they will keep my babies safe in their vehicles..

Wasn't scheduled until 5pm today for an alignment, the gentlemen that did the alignment was kind enough to get me in a little early and had me squared away and out the door before 5. He then clearly explained my options and walked me through the next steps, giving me all the information I needed to make a good decision. This place really thought they could legit scam me. What a joke. My car just needs a caliper, rear pads and rotors. Very simple. Told me over $1300!!! Absolutely notttt!’ Then said my rotors were on backwards LOL. No.. not possible. Or they wouldn’t go on.. my pads and rotors just got replaced last month and my car passed inspection.!! All it needs is POSSIBLY a caliper. He said the piston was hanging off and wouldn’t go back in and that’s why the caliper needed to be replaced. The caliper might not even be bad!! The piston just needs to go in! Every other shop I spoke too said he was over doubling my Price and ripping me off and that’s sick! And to top it off, My car was there to put 2 tires on… that never got done !!!
