We will never purchase anything from any BASIL dealership. The Fredonia location especially! Long story short, a 2023 Equinox should not have had any issues-and it has only had issues from the day we purchased it! Now it needs a new turbo! Did I mention it is only a few years old?????? BASIL is disgusting when it comes to customer service post purchase! Joe Basil is the most disrespectful person I have ever dealt with as well!

I was interested in making a fair trade, as my own vehicle was previously appraised at $30,000 by another reputable dealer. When I mentioned this and tried to negotiate, the salesperson I dealt with responded very aggressively and unprofessionally. ‏He told me, with a sharp and condescending tone, “If you’re looking for a $1,000 discount, you’re in the wrong place,” which I found incredibly disrespectful and inappropriate for a customer-facing role. Instead of discussing options calmly, he began raising his voice and sarcastically offered me a much cheaper car that I wasn’t even looking for, repeatedly saying things like “you want cheap? here’s cheap!” loud enough for others to hear. ‏I remained polite throughout the conversation, even though his attitude made the experience uncomfortable and upsetting. I came in as a serious buyer with a budget of $45,000—not looking for “cheap,” but for value and respectful treatment. ‏As someone with decades of business experience, I found this encounter unacceptable and discouraging. I will not return to this dealership
